Shes so unfun she ruins the entire game, yet all she gets is a shield bash increase.
Id rather have 6 man res, release Doomfist, and original McCree than brigitte, personally.

She is pretty fun to play. So I have a feeling that had something to do with their decision. Oh, and counter-play to dive.

Fun is subjective, some people can only achieve fun if they play the character with the best advantages while other people can only achieve fun by using the character with the least advantages.
No one is ever going to be entirely happy with the game, so giving each type of person their moment in the spotlight for a little bit is the best way to do it.

I’ve started hating Brigitte a little less and started hating new Sym more.
I had issue with her laser turrets before but they didn’t always feel like a total nuisance. NOW though? She can put them literally anywhere.
You could practically be resting in spawn before you hear that telling “vrrrrrt” of her sentry turret floating by and landing next to your head, killing you slowly.
This last sentence is a slight exaggeration.

They tried to make a hero that does the anti dive job for heros without mobility or range. However that doesnt really fix all problems. That is why it is important to not let other people do your job.
Weak non mobile heroes gotta step up themselves with buffs
This is so over-used, and it is entirely meaningless outside of a purely egocentric context.

i love how people always say “genji/tracer dive” while the reason dive is a thing was because d.va, winston and zenyatta. genji and tracer where the only dps that could follow a winston and a d.va, that’s why they were played together

And it died when Tracer had a counter? This includes widow hanzo too cause she is hardly playable against them when high grounds are hard to access.
You know why they added Brigitte? Lots of people in Plat and below (The ranks that Tracer/Genji had a negative winrate in) complained on the forums alot because their aim wasn’t good enough to 1v1 them.
Coming from a McCree main who regularly forced Genji/Tracer swaps it is really easy.
Genji: wait till he deflects then throw it above, below, left or right of the hit box and fan the hammer
Tracer: flashbang then headshot
Disclaimer: I know that in higher ranks Tracer was quite oppressive, but most of the people who whined were not in the position to do so.

What is the difference? Still many heros can never win Tracer and many people cant fight her with Mcree either. Tracer was the post Brigitte.

Because they had to create a character that could feasibly deal 150 dmg or more faster than another character with all the mobility in the world can press a button. YOU DO NOT PLACE IN A NEW CHARACTER TO DEAL WITH A CHARACTER THAT’S TOO STRONG, BECAUSE THE NEW CHARACTER WILL BE AS STRONG OR STRONGER.

It’s not OP because it only works on one map. (most of the time)

Blizzard devs put themselves in a tough spot when they set out to create a Dive counter 
Dive heroes:
- Have great mobility
- Operate best at close distance
- Are weak to armor
- (In the case of Tracer and Genji) Are hard to hit
So, the perfect anti-Dive hero:
- Should limit mobility
- Works best close-up, at a Dive hero’s effective range
- Has tons of armor
- Has an easy time hitting other heroes (no aim)
Unfortunately, that combination can be tough to pull off without making a truly disgusting hero. But at least her Shield Bash isn’t on a 5-second cooldown anymore!

Some of those arent really mandatory. No mobility is because it should not be dive itself and most of them are ripoff of Reinhardt who is a weak-to-dive tank
Brigitte must be made a support so she can use that repair which better protects non dive heros better than a 2000 hp shield…
Whatever her SB and support is the main problem. The rest is just being a tank.
You do realize that blizzard forced us out of dive meta with Bridgitte? I was tired of dive meta too, but the concept of countering high skill heroes with a LMB bot is just stupid.
