I think it would have been easier to live with the meme gameplay of Hammond cheesing wins through swinging around in circles on point and dropping his garbage ult on payloads if he was an actually cool and believable animal like a smaller monkey, but instead we have to get cheesed out of wins by a literal giant hamster which apparently even half of the OW team hates. Why are blizz devs so incompetent in their design decisions with every game they make after initial release?

I doubt being a monkey woudl have made him more appealing.
Maybe it woudl have saved a backlash but he would have been still an unlikable hero.
The ball is more fitting for a hamster even if the whole idea of having a hamster is incredibly stupid.
