Any specific occasion for it? An event that happened in his lifetime? Just curious

I believe it has to do with his past. When he dies and you respawns he’ll say, “Someones looking out for me.” I think it has to do with how he survives in unlikely situations, perhaps one occasion he almost died and survived. Thus creating some type of faith as an explaination for his lucky survival.
