I believe that’s talking about added SR gains and losses per match due to performance based SR. The MMR number has to be pretty enormous cause its tracking so much data. It has to keep track or so much it cant be a simple number like that. Im sure its a much more complex system than that.

I do remember. Are you implying that I said something untrue?
U.S. Patent US20200114268A1 and affiliates.
There is no reason to have mmr unless you’re rigging.
Shipping matches around SR should be enough to rank by SR.
That is patent for destiny or cod, not overwatch.
Incorrect. I’ve spoken with the inventors - who have since left the company - and they confirm it’s implementation into OW. They can’t comment on current status.
And I’ll say again: there is 0 reason to have mmr, unless you’re rigging matches. SR is all you need to ship people by rank. MMR existence is evidence enough for rigging.
No you didnt, stop making stuff up.
I don’t neccesarily have the source on this but from what I’ve heard and believe it is because your MMR is almost always your current rank unless you’re on an alt, or you are outperforming everyone because you watched a couple of GameLeap videos.
I’ve spoken with them several times
Here is the other patent, the one that is for sure in overwatch.
It extends the matchmaker to rig at the team-level.
Patent: US20160001186A1
You still haven’t answered the simple question:
Why have MMR if SR is all you need to ship a match?
It’s rigging plain and simple. Keep trying.
Nice dance around the entire response lol, you’re really bad at this whole trolling thing. At least you are if you’re intending to appear believable to the common lurker who may come across your tomfoolery. L
Nice try derailing the simple question:
Why do you need MMR if SR is all you need for match/rank?
Derailing is all you know in this forum. Me derailing stupid posts that have not an ounce of accuracy or truth to them, nor any positive intention or effect is hardly going to put me on the naughty list this year. No coal in my stocking come Christmas.
So you think you repeatedly linking your dead & innaccurate thread isn’t spam bumping? Lol, you are such a lost cause.
So you’re spamming and trolling by going offtopic and adding nothing. Got it. Ez flag.
I like that you’re keeping up the act that you actually care about the state of the forums, legitimate discussion, or accuracy, keep it up!
Unlike you, I don’t see anyone as a lost cause. That is why I’m still here, trying to help gamers see the injustice that Blizzard is doing to them by handicapping their “competitive,” “ranked” games.
Ah, yes, you surely don’t use the tactics you do on this forum with the intention of riling people up & causing discord. You’re here to help people! Of course! How could I not see that all this time you truly are a saint within the forum?
You’re a stalwart individual, a meritorious fellow here to correct the misguided on the forum with your totally legitimate theories that are so believable they don’t require evidence! That’s why we’ve never seen proof from you! Because “just trust me”!
To have system where your skill dictates your matches, not SR which is a lot easier to manipulate.
No. You know literally nothing about data analysis. Just stop. They’d be a multi-trillion dollar company if they could predict human behavior.
Ignore listed.
No it’s not. The MMR number used for matchmaking is a single number. It’s the number of standard deviations from the mean (when they combine whatever stats, etc). It’s between around -3 and 3.
