every time i log in it changes my display mode back, no other settings change, it’s driving me mad
Are you running Bnet+game as administrator? Is the settings file set to read-only? Do you have antivirus or cloud sync software controlling the directory where settings save?
I’ve noticed the same issue, and that for whatever reason, window borderless mode is at like 5 fps when I’m in game in focus, but looks fine (120+ fps or whatever) when I alt tab to another program (discord) on my other monitor.
Also, just flat out tabbing out (with window borderless) tends to crash OW with the error “your rendering device has been lost! Application closing!” after the screen pretty much shuts off and keeps making recconect/disconnect noises - as some games do when alt tabbing from full screen or gysnc enables.
No to all of the above questions by Nicole, at least the settings file in Documents, unless there is somewhere else I should be looking.
Edit: since I did both at the same time, not sure which was the fix to my issue, but it was either enabling DX12 or more likely just disabling gsync in my nvida panel.
Edit 2: Window borderless studers a lot now with Dx12, going back to Dx11 resolved that.
