Why can't I embed media items in posts?

Oh, it was working just fine yesterday, why do you ask?
And today it hit me with that message. “Can’t embed media items in post” or something. Would it have been relevant to the topic? ‘Sort of’, but come on. This isn’t it, chief.

Did they do things with the trust levels again? And why did it work yesterday, but not today? Did they just tell me I’m not trustworthy enough? I’m not taking any offense, I know I’m not.

You see, I’m trying it right here, right now and it told me it doesn’t work. So… why?

The trusted status “decays” over time, so if you haven’t been active enough recently to meet the requirements any more you can lose it. Don’t ask me why it’s designed like that.

So they did just tell me I’m not trustworthy enough. Man, that’s harsh. But then they should be at least consistent. They can’t just trust me of not taking advantage of the system’s failure like yesterday.
