Why cant DPS flex in QP?

Everyone else literarily fills besides the DPS players, then 99% of the time we lose because we have 3-4 dps.

Like this happens every single game, and ruins the game for the whole team…

saying its just qp is just a convenient excuse not to give a crap, flex and work as a team.

Some people need/want to practice, especially snipers and flankers. Others need a break after flexing for 5 comp games in a row.

Because never leaving spawn for the entire game is “fun”, apparently.

Go figure.

Generally speaking those who play DPS in QP or acrade, are those stuck tanking/healing every Comp match they play. Trust me i like to play Torb, Mei, Sym etc in QP because I have to heal or tank every comp match ever unless I find a role locked LFG group with a dps slot open.

Cause it’s quickplay. Shocking I know

Because DPS is the most fun role in the game. Nobody likes playing the Right Mouse Button Get Stunned Man (or any of the other tanks), and why play any healer other than Zenyatta? They die too quick and you’re just playing a walking spectator camera anyway.

Unfortunately, many dps players flex to other dps
for me I main McCree and flex junk/ashe
Maybe a brig but she’s useless without a rein and main healer

Theres a long list of reason… but to put it simply…

overwatch is a team based game that does everything it can to discourage teamwork.

It’s gotten even worse since Ashe was added. I get that it’s QP, but having 3 snipers on a team and no healers is pointless.

I am not going to imply you do this, but I only use this as an example:

Why does the player playing 76 (or a DPS hero) complain we have too many DPS?

They should go and play against AI or maybe even play the tutorial if they need to practice, not quick play as it sucks that people get a free pass for throwing in quick play.

It’s not “why can’t they?” when in reality it’s “why won’t they?”. The only way out of this hell I see is to either join the crowd or stop playing.

That’s great practice if your only goal is to place in bronze

Playing against AI or a tutorial is not playing another player. I find very few people (and maybe I get the good groups) in QP who have no problem when someone says “I am practicing Hanzo, sorry if I am bad” and people reply “It’s QP here to have fun, I used to main him…” and a productive conversation carriers on. I look at it as a challenge. Want 6 DPS? Fine by me, If I don’t like the comp and want to get all serious about it, I can change and fix it myself, I can not force another player nor report another player because they are playing a specific hero.
I will get off the “It’s only QP” train and get on the “It’s just a game” one instead

That’s pretty bad practice.

why flex in qp?

Maybe the want to play DPS for a change after hundreds of competitive games where they fill tank/heal ?

Yes, it’s only QP.

Use lfg for quick play if u care

Alright then ,I’ll just practice against bots then head on straight to competitive against actual players who aren’t brainless ,sounds like a great plan if you ask me.

At the same time, if you can’t win right away you need to work on the basics, such as using your mouse and learning to press the shift and the E key and eventually pressing Q rather than spending the whole game in the spawn dead not fun for the people who are trying to have a fun game.
