Generally speaking those who play DPS in QP or acrade, are those stuck tanking/healing every Comp match they play. Trust me i like to play Torb, Mei, Sym etc in QP because I have to heal or tank every comp match ever unless I find a role locked LFG group with a dps slot open.
Because DPS is the most fun role in the game. Nobody likes playing the Right Mouse Button Get Stunned Man (or any of the other tanks), and why play any healer other than Zenyatta? They die too quick and you’re just playing a walking spectator camera anyway.
Unfortunately, many dps players flex to other dps
for me I main McCree and flex junk/ashe
Maybe a brig but she’s useless without a rein and main healer
They should go and play against AI or maybe even play the tutorial if they need to practice, not quick play as it sucks that people get a free pass for throwing in quick play.
Playing against AI or a tutorial is not playing another player. I find very few people (and maybe I get the good groups) in QP who have no problem when someone says “I am practicing Hanzo, sorry if I am bad” and people reply “It’s QP here to have fun, I used to main him…” and a productive conversation carriers on. I look at it as a challenge. Want 6 DPS? Fine by me, If I don’t like the comp and want to get all serious about it, I can change and fix it myself, I can not force another player nor report another player because they are playing a specific hero.
I will get off the “It’s only QP” train and get on the “It’s just a game” one instead
Alright then ,I’ll just practice against bots then head on straight to competitive against actual players who aren’t brainless ,sounds like a great plan if you ask me.
At the same time, if you can’t win right away you need to work on the basics, such as using your mouse and learning to press the shift and the E key and eventually pressing Q rather than spending the whole game in the spawn dead not fun for the people who are trying to have a fun game.
