Why cant devs admit mistakes?

This isn’t about any specific mistake the devs have made (because there are too many) but why is overwatch’s dev team unlike other devs in that they refuse to go back if a mistake is made? Paladins devs are humble enough to go back if they make mistakes and listen to feedbak so why is blizzard so hard headed?

I don’t know, but I have noticed that. Sombra should have gotten a hack revert, not crippling changes designed to cling to a hack that is too fast to be reasonable.

If that’s the case they wouldn’t have reverted parts of the ptr nerf they gabe sombra.

They also revert back ana damage back to 80.

They actually did with Bastion.

Are this forum poster able to admit there mistakes??

Yeah I agree, honestly many character like Ana , Sombra and Mercy would be better if they get revert to their previous state

They never did that.

Her damage is 70 not 80.

They didn’t, Ana damage only goes back to 70

Which state of mercy that’s like 5 different versions of mercy.

Bastion was only a nerf to Ironclad. The times they admit mistakes are far less than the times they don’t. They’d rather iterate changes for months to make a mistake work instead of admitting it.

You should probably change the title of your thread so it doesn’t get taken down.

Wait didn’t the devs nerf ana damage than buff it later because I remember a patch where they did that.

If your multiple iteration is a reference to Mercy, a lot of people feel like removing mass rez was the good move and not a mistake.

It was not. It was a general point. They have done this multiple times. If I wanted to say Mercy, I’d have said Mercy.

i mean they can and they do when the changes are justified. For example sombra/ana. And then they don’t admit to mistakes when there are no actual mistakes (mercy). In Sombra and ana’s case they went overboard. In mercy’s case they were trying to find a solution to a huge problem that was the mass rez, and they did but ultimately it turned into a buff, so they’ve been toning it down and i feel like rez is in a good place now but the rest of mercy’s kit isn’t. So they’ll probably tune some aspects of her kit in order to bring her in line with other healers. Some people will perceive that as a mistake, most people won’t though.

They made a rework of bastion rendering him unkillable and revert that pretty quiclky.

Most of the other “mistakes” being talked about are point of view based.

They nerfed Ana’s Damage from 80 to 60, then they buffed it from 60 to 70.

Even then, that’s a barely a revert considering everything that’s happened to Ana in terms of her kit.

Yeah but they only buff the damage from 60 to 70

Hard to be certain, but my feeling is that a lot more feel it was a mistake.
