Why can't Ashe be interrupted when summoning Bob?

Why does it take seconds to summon Mei’s robot and if interrupted it will disappear, while Ashe’s Bob is summon instantly and can’t be interrupted?

Mei’s ult launches a projectile that deploys into a separate entity when it lands, Ashe’s just skips to deploying an entirely separate entity.

Mind you, I wholeheartedly agree that Mei’s ult vanishing mid-flight if she gets interrupted is really stupid.

Same thing happens to Tracer’s ult and grav if I’m not mistaken.

nope, grav doesnt have a casting time like blizzard and pulse bomb so once it shows it always fully casts

To be fair, Mei is due for buffs in OW2

I do hope they can change it so if its out then it can’t be stopped short of being eaten by Matrix

I’m pretty sure you can cancel Bob if you kill Ashe at just the right moment. I’ve done it. Even saved the clip because I was so surprised. Possible it could’ve been a ping issue or something though.

How do u interrupt a robot dropping from the stratosphere?

how do you turn of a guy’s legs or make a guy forget how to do a somersault? How does getting punched by a giant gorilla not instantly crush half the cast’s skulls? How does stunning a lady make her disappear into thin air? mechanics rarely align with game balance.

I feel like Mei’s ultimate is generally more dangerous, what with your team being unable to do anything about once deployed unless D.va or Genji snag it before it drops

Bob is very, very easy to deal with on the whole. He only makes a huge impact on a team that’s already struggling. Otherwise, he’s just gonna get beat down the same as an ulting Winston would, only much more easily because he stands still.

Ashe has a scoped weapon with at least 50 meters (couldn’t find the falloff numbers since the wiki is down for some reason.
And a kit that does almost the same thing as Widow who’s the hero with the longest range in game in term of play.

How would anyone with stuns would reach her in the first place?
Not to mention, the second she calls for B.O.B, bob arrives.

Not much you can do to stop her…

Another thing is the fact B.O.B is stoppable and avoidable while blizzard isn’t.

Last factor is simply the fact you can stun B.O.B himself. So technically you can stun the ult.

Would be funny if you could defend matrix Bob when he runs towards you tho

It’s so stupid. So many times I’ve been stunned after the throwing animation ends and the bomb clearly sticks to someone and it still disappears

He comes after she says “Bob” so if you kill or stun her before she says “do something” it will interrupt Bob.

I disagree, I think it adds cool counter-play with heroes that have some cc being able to shut her down. Like 99.9% of brigs cant bash cancel a blizzard and its not something they even try to do. Let the 0.1% who do have that amazing carry moment, no?

Just make it consistent and let Bob be cancellable when summoned for like a fraction of a second. CC is mostly being removed anyway

Didn’t know she can be stunned out of ult.
I guess everyday you learn something new

I definitely killed her as she was calling Bob, so am just assuming stun will also cancel it too, but it has to be right as she says Bob. Once he comes down, he’s down.

Because blizzard logic.

Once you cast Mei´s ult - it´s there. You can´t kill Snowball, you can´t sleep it, boop it…anything…
Once Ashe calls BOB - he can be killed, pushed, booped, slept, hacked…
It´s only fair, like this.

The fact that there’s two robots is entirely coincidental.
