Why can "Toggle UI" not be unbound?

I mistakenly set Toggle UI to O.

Which is also quick melee.

And backing out of menus.

In-game, it doesn’t activate when punching, thank god, but every menu is a game of pressing the O button twice just to see anything and sometimes exiting menus by mistake.

“So just unbind it!”

YOU CAN’T. YOU LITERALLY CAN’T. Every single other bind in the menu will automatically “move” the bind. If you have O bound to punch and try to bind it to reload, it will move FROM punch TO reload.

But Toggle UI? Permanent. It never leaves the Toggle UI binding. It’s there forever.

The ONLY way to remove it is to reset your controls to default, which resets ALL your controls to default, even saved controls for specific heroes.

So the only way to remove this binding without losing all your customized bindings is to screenshot every single page of every single hero’s bindings, reset your settings, and then manually fix every hero. And I can’t just bind it to another key, there aren’t any buttons on the controller that I’m not using.

HOW DOES A TRIPLE A GAME THAT HAS BEEN OUT FOR OVER FIVE YEARS HAVE THIS PROBLEM?

Mate why do you have it so you have to send your hand on a 2 month expedition just to quick melee, are you left handed?

I did that on Ana with right on the d-pad, the only way to fix it is to reset your settings to default as far as I know.

Dumb and broken, has been this way for awhile :frowning:

Then I don’t remember if it was square or triangle, you can see it just before the binding section

The square button which is usually for unbind doesn’t work for some reason

The way I did it as a fix was set it to L3 and that’s for my chat so it don’t get rid of the yo but pulls up chat instead and there is no reason for me atleast to use L3 in the menus

PlayStation controllers have an O button.

I did not realize this was a necro. Blame the person above me.
