Why is there a black void that constantly consumes Mei’s ultimate, even after it hit the ground waaaay after the ult was activated, but nothing that happens when you interrupt Ashe? Where’s the constancy? Where’s the punishment for using the ult in a bad situation? When are Mei’s several ultimate bugs gonna be fixed?
If you want a literal/technical answer: Because B.O.B is a separate entity in his own right while Snowball is merely a projectile.
That said, yeah it’s kind of unfair for Mei.
Mei’s ultimate disappearing mid air is caused by latency:
[PROOF] Projectile Ults blocked by Lag
Just as Lucky44 said, Mei’s ultimate is a projectile that is thrown. One with a cast time. Ashe’s ultimate is an entity that is being summoned.
A better question would be why Zarya’s ultimate is the only projectile ultimate that doesn’t has a cast time. This is the only projectile ultimate that can’t be interrupted with stuns.
There are a lot of inconsistent aspects of the game. You just have to kinda get over it.
Great read @Bloggerman. Thanks!
Where’s the consistency in comparing a thrown projectile with a cast time to a practically instant summoning of a separate player-like entity?
BOB is too advanced for our understanding, we couldn’t comprehend why he can’t be cancelled.
Mei’s can be cancelled because Snowball is scared.
I do agree it seems unfair. However bob just disappearing mid charge must look pretty strange lmao
Actually it would be pretty funny … He could make a stupid pose and say “next time maybe”…
But i doubt that many people would be happy with Mei being stronger …
I’m just imagining B.O.B doing that one “Reaper Shrugging” pose now.
The reason Mei’s Blizzard doesn’t disappear, is because Mei’s Ultimate is a projectile with a cast time.
Ashe’s B.O.B. is a whole new player, essentially. It acts as a player entity in-game and therefore has no projectile properties.
Cause both of them are ultimates and only one of them can be canceled…?
cuz mei is a demon and needs to be treated as such
Same with pulse bomb, they need fixed
That’s like saying “why can Mei’s ult be cancelled but Transcendence can’t”. It’s silly. The fact that they’re both ultimates is irrelevant. They function completely differently.
