Why can’t they fill live ow with the new changes?

Make it 5v5 and update everyone with the new balance changes? It’s not like Soujorn will break the game?

Apparently she is actually OP lol

And we won’t even get more heroes until like 2077 in the following beta test, so what gives?

The reason they are launching OW2 earlier is exactly that. It is still not an excuse for not doing it earlier though.

Exactly, it’s not an excuse… It’s just mind boggling?

Because they have to pad that new game with all those big content releases to build back hype that they killed off by withholding all those content releases. It makes total sense if you ignore the fact that it makes no sense.

I think they know that the 5v5 changes are the thing that’s going to bring everyone who’s played overwatch back… and after that, theyll really have no more chances :woman_shrugging:

So maybe they figure they should finally get this stuff right…?

Even if everything was good, but some things were awful… maybe like the new heroes or some balance changes… it could easily end up like the Brig situation… where 1 busted hero destroyed the balance of the entire game and created the largest player exodus that the populations ever seen.

Yeah, it makes no sense. Pvp overwatch is basically the same with a new mode, maps, heroes which we should have gotten already. The quality of life changes and ui stuff/engine is good, i can wait for that.

But give me the balance now! What’s keeping them?

Built for the improved engine.

I kindly disagree. Take Reinhardt. Double fire strike, can cancel charge… you think they can’t just give him these changes in the live game? Same with all heroes

Additionally, the engine is going to be integrated into the game either ways, so what’s the hold up? Surely it’s already completed? Otherwise, they wouldn’t be able to work on anything else, no?

That was more specifically for Sojourn. But they haven’t shown everything yet and you don’t know if the new abilities for OW2 are made specifically for the new engine.

Exactly… it’s really confusing.

The game is not ready to launch… they are literally doing alpha testing. What is so confusing here?

Alpha testing when the game’s due within a year (2023 the latest)? That doesn’t seem very… confident, in terms of time and development managed?

You are completely on point. It seems like they worked on it pretty late?

I frankly don’t care about your opinion on the matter. It’s currently in alpha, we have a date for the first beta. I’m confident that you are actually clueless when it comes to game development so again your opinion is not really something no one should consider paying attention to.

I care about his opinion. I think most people here agree with him

That’s because most people are equally clueless and incapable of understanding simple concepts and reading short paragraphs of texts of information that’s readily available.

Not “clueless,” per se, but rather “concerned”.

I’ve seen my fair share of poorly developed projects, and this is starting to show those signs when their deadline is right around the corner, and they’re still in the brainstorming/rough-testing phase.

Additionally, can we please be civil about this? No need to insult another fellow man’s intelligence for having questions and concerns, no?
