He’s one of the best tanks in the game right now. He’s in EVERY match and gets a ton of value because he’s so much harder to kill. In what universe does he need a buff?

Is there any other buff coming besides up to 50 from 15 damage to his ult?
Same reason they are buffing Ana.

So far that is the only listed change for him. The developers did say there are more patch notes to come, but I doubt they’ll do more than that for that hero. Who knows.
They buffed his super crappy ult… making it slightly less crappy. Thats it.

While it does seem like quite the minor buff, it is odd to buff one of the strongest heroes, who is also the meta tank in pro play atm.

His ult isn’t even bad. It’s pretty bad at getting a kill with the direct dmg, but it does so much more than that. The slow allows ppl to be followed up on, same with him getting an empowered punch. Cds partially reset, he heals while in the air, can play super aggressive since he has an escape with it. His ult does quite a bit.

We don’t know the full patch notes. If the devs feel safe buffing Doom, there must be some pretty good buffs to other tanks sans Ball.
In what world does Anna not need a buff?
When you buff one of the best heroes in the game, you should probably have some compensation. Doesn’t matter if his ult is bad (it’s really not that bad, ever since they buffed it to give him power punch), he is overall very good at the moment.

As a doomfist main- I am surprised to see doomfist getting buffed.
This is probably one of the best actual states doomfist has been in. And I dont mean that in the “hes the strongest hes ever been” sense. Hes been stronger in the past (and was rightfully nerfed hard aftewards. They never should have done that giga buff patch for him). I mean this is the best overall state hes been in.
Hes strong in capable hands- But hes not exactly a hero you just swap to and get value from without knowing/understanding the hero. He has the means with a skilled played to actually play with/around his counters, instead of just being neutralized into uselessness and skill expression on both sides shows (Which is a testament to not just his balance, but the context of his balance against those counters). His counters have an inherent advantage, but you can out skill them- Likewise if the player on that counter is skilled, theyll give you a hard time. Again you cant just have a main from 1 hero go man, doomfist is giving me a hard time, swap to a “counter” you have little experience with, and expect to destroy him without understanding how to play that hero to actually counter doomfist. Again, this is a good state of things to me.
Hes strong played well, but not dominating the game and the leaderboards / game environment either.
Especially with the context of dooms kit and how he can feel to play into, this is the best id ever hope for the hero. I am very leery about them buffing him beyond this state.
On one hand ill gladly acknowledge/admit/recognize that what theyre trying to do is make meteor strike feel like an ultimate to use (as it currently does now. no one is afraid of doomfist using meteor strike. its just this thing he does and he comes back a little later having healed himself a bit. theres no ermagherd hes using meteor strike git ready!). But hes good overall despite meteor strike being what it is. Again, i am leery.
But ill wait and see i guess- if only because theyve said like half the cast is getting changes as well- which depending on how far those changes go, can change the environment a lot. If they wind up giving things to most of the tanks? This might not be that big of a deal.

It’s a buff he’s always needed. His ult itself has always been terrible, and the stupid gimmicks they’ve added onto it never solved the real issues of it. I’m hoping it gives them justification to now remove the slow effect and self-heals.
In the world where her kit is the most overtuned in the game and she’s been a top pick with every team comp, every season, and every rank, since she came out 5+ years ago?

But that has nothing to do with her current state, shes nearly a throw pick currently, is she in the penalty box or something for being too popular? She hadent even been meta all that time but she was always heavily played either way because she’s the most popular (and arguably most fun) hero in the game. Until now, that’s how bad she is, the most popular hero in the game historically has nearly disappeared from play.
No, she’s just been toned down to the actual level of the other supports and because she’s been a nightmare for 6 years, now it just feels like she’s “broken” because she’s not heads over every one else.

Nearly disappeared?
Shes still literally one of the most popular heroes. As far as we can see on public stats recently shes still basically not just the most picked support at basically every rank, but the most picked hero at every rank. And while we should take public stats with a grain of salt, even the developers have acknowledge her continued popularity since the S9 patch.
Saying shes “nearly disappeared” is woefully inaccurate.

I know you didn’t read those patch notes before writing this post to complain. There’s no way that you read that they increased the minimum damage of the worst ult in the game from a measly fifteen damage to a whatever 50 damage.
No way at all.
