Blizzard has the means to know fully well and one of their servers crashes or multiple unique users are disconnected due to network issues. This BS they say that disconnects can’t be separated from malicious activities is that, pure and simple BS.
Why won’t they fix this? At least give back the SR that was taken away once it’s clear in their internal monitoring systems that their server was the one that crashed.
Blizzard can’t tell when a player does this…

Yes, i’m using Excel to precisly calculate my SR since i magically lost few SR few days ago, so my SR now is: https: //imgur .com/ ZzwvEOz. Okay - i’m winning and losing games, but i definitely lost too much SR because of random server DC. I’m pinging my latency in cmd and basically i’m losing only few packages daily. Can i create a ticket to a support, because i just want explanation or even my SR back? (i know it won’t happen), but it’s a pure joke right now.
If the server crashes, Blizzard should be able to know that.
If you get disconnected (maybe your Internet had a temporary hiccup somewhere), it is impossible for them to know if it was your Internet or you pulling the plug. “Lost connection to the game server” is typically an issue on the user’s end (especially if you could just restart overwatch and get back in right after).

And this is why people with a brain who play this game get so fed up… we have to play with people that simply do not have common sense…

I don’t even understand how people can have that little cognitive function.
Kids playing the game are ok, but adults? It scares me how their lives must be if they can’t even use enough brains to not overextend, not jump in 1v6 and what not

Rockstar can somehow tell legitimate ISP/server crash issues apart from the user simply pulling the plug in GTA Online. If the user had just a small disruption in service, they simply got loaded into their own “private public session” others could join into, and to achieve this intentionally one needs some Windows knowledge to manipulate the resource manager, and also they need fast hardware and a fast internet connection not to simply get booted from the multiplayer session.
Might have to be differences in base architecture, but I hardly can imagine that some of the biggest brains in online gaming cannot come up with a surefire method to check whether a disconnect was due to active interference to prevent a loss of SR or a server side issue. ISP service disruptions are obviously harder to verify, but I think they can at least keep their own servers in check not to punish players for an outage on their end.
This topic is about a disconnection issue, but yea - “people with a brain” are talking. So, Blizz gave us that new “feature” which is called “replays”. There i found something interesting: https: //imgur .com/ Rz6XrIf. “UNDECIDED”. In this case - everyone in that match has been punished with -XX SR. I can understand playing poorly, because i know that i meesed up and it’s my problem - i must improve myself, but in this case i am punished, because Blizzard failed. If there are any connection issues/disconnection issues, competitive button should be disabled to prevent people from playing comp games.
It is not just that, they get ridiciously toxic when you try to provide constructive critism! I literally had a McCree be like “shut up pleb, you are a #%*&king moron I am a plat smurf so…etc etc” after I was like:
“Mcree, in future you should not use DeadEye after 4 people get pulled into a Zarya grav and die. We all died, called for you to back off and regroup, and you instead you used DeadEye against two tanks and a healer. We needed that for getting space next fight man…”
Tldr: do not try to help ppl get better, even if you try to word it,nicely. This entire community are all snowflakes.

I think you know what happened next.
I’m sorry you can’t understand things that don’t happen to you but this is an issue with blizz or the servers not with players connections. There surely are some people with bad connections or stuffed up routers but those should be consistent and we shouldn’t see an upturn of disconnects like we have.
If everything else works, like discord for example and we dont get disconnected from other games (even other blizzard games like starcraft - I had maybe 1 dc this year there while I have multiple per month in ow) then that is blizzards fault. You cant tell me its not blizzards fault when literally everyone I know had the exact same issues multple times only in ow. You get a laggy game with like 99% packet loss and a ping jumping between 40-3000 until you finally dc, when you reconnect you usually still have a ton of packet loss until a few hours later or until you use some vpn service like killping/haste/etc…
