Leaving this form even in OW1 was weird decision. But in OW2 with increased pace, with an emphasis on action and only one tank it became simply absurd! This form have no sense, you just waste time of your team and/or give enemy extra 150 point to ulyt charge. This is just an archaism left over from the dawn of the existence of first game when various interesting mechanics were tested. There was never any real meaning tobaby D.va.
Of course devs can’t just remove her but can they at least give player a choice? Left mech whan it’s destoyed or die inside. A simple button that appears when the danger board appears on the screen. Is this too hard to understand/create?

For the longest time, it was basically her only weakness. I will agree in Overwatch 2, that might not be necessary. I mean, they do not even make unique emotes for her. Clearly she is pointless.

I had an idea that everytime dva’s mech gets destroyed she instantly climbs into a smaller one. And when that mech gets destroyed she hops into an even smaller one. You have to kill her mech 5 times before you reach baby dva >:D

Baby D.Va either needs to be entirely gone, with maybe the exception of ult, or buffed. She legit has no reason to exist in OW2.
Also with Baby D.Va gone it would mean the awful remech buff would also be gone

Most of the heroes haven’t even been touched.
If anything, I am more worried about the dps nerf that they gave her rather than baby d.va form remaining in the game.

I hope in the PvE you get to upgrade to become some super OP version of baby d.va
You could do some camera trickery in first person, i.e. have the camera follow behind when the mech is launched to self destruct, and then smoothly transition to the already respawned mech keeping the “enter” animation remech has, and in third person the mech just appears from the sky like it already does just without the d.va.
This instead kinda implies that d.va launches her mech unmanned without actually having the second form.
But itl definitely feel weird and kinda cheap imo.
how about make every frontline have second life ?
Baby DVA is pretty fun and unique, it shouldn’t get removed.
