I’m honestly getting tired of this. Ashe gets damage nerfs and increase in firerate even further, when her firerate was already a bit too much to make her better without Mercy but worse with a pocket. Mccree got buffed like 5 times within a few months just because his firerate got reverted so i ask you: why can’t Genji get a buff that makes him better without Ana/Mercy and worse with them to fix the nanoblade issue? why does the balance team think its right for a hero to be viable only because of their ultimate? winning with Genji on your team is 5 times harder unless you’re literally Necros and never miss a single shot and pull insane blades every time.
Genji is one of the few heroes if not the only one that gets too punished by missing and is not rewarded for landing shots. Seriously, what stops you guys from reverting him back to april state? he was not overpowered and if it scares you just give him 20% ult charge cost increase. He was overpowered because you made him overpowered. You guys didn’t even try tweaking around some numbers and just straight out took the important stuff and let him with the useless ones when you should have taken either damage or firerate but not both. Those changes just straight murdered the hero and if you think i’m exagerating just have a look at his gm pickrate.

Have you seen his streams lmao 10% is peak genji gameplay gettings pharmacy’s out of the air purely with mechanics and dashes fast blades and stuff and then you’ve got the other 90%…full of suffering

I have hes my favorite streamer lol. Its what i mean, if even him get destroyed by other people with low effort heroes why can’t he destroy others as Genji too? this is just… i mean look at Tracer and her limitless skill ceiling i dream of a day we’ll have Genji being super hard hero like Tracer but not so good in lower ranks and destroying everyone in masters and GM like she does.

Honestly for us is worse because Anas can’t hit Genji midair all the time so makes it even harder if you want to move properly and avoid more shots. Also, many Anas refuse to teamwork with me for nanoblade if my first nano blade isn’t a 6k. We suffer just as much because people just don’t play around Genji unless hes on enemy team.

Apart from widow above 3,5k, every other hitscan was unplayable till ashe got buffed and she was op only bcs mercy boost still exists. Mccree was trash, literal trash for 20 seasons!!

ive noticed how it happens to genji and other flex/projectile/niche heroes that makes them worse before the change. It’s a shame that the hitscans generally get compensation buffs whether they get nerfs that still make them relevant in the game. While heroes like genji just gets sent to the shadow realm that makes them worse than before the buffs.
The weirdest thing for me is how they’ve mentioned in the dev comments that twice, twice they’ve recognized that genji is struggling and buffed him to help him out. June should’ve just been a dmg buff with an ult charge nerf and he would’ve been fine. Instead, they just mega buff him without any nerf compensation to ult charge at least which was a big ???. But yet they take back the two main components back to 2016 genji dps for where the devs have clearly said he’s been suffering in for a couple years. But yes, another comment they’ve mentioned which still angers me till this day:
"We'll keep a close eye on him and make sure he lands in the right spot."

You are terribly misinformed. Genji was only meta picks during the first months of OW before his nerfs and June 2020. Genji was a decent pick after 2016 nerfs but not a dominating hero at all. Genji became bad when brig was released in 2018 and got outdated by obvious power creep ever since. Genji didnt even dominate for a full year. What are you on about?
