Probably because she’s not African American. idk what the forum crazies are thinking. Remember when one of them made a topic saying blizzard was racist for not having an AA woman?
Apparently there’s backlash due to this character representation:
She’s Canadian but not white or aboriginal Canadian.
She’s Black but not Black American.
Don’t bother with those that scream for representation. Rarely do they play/support the media they are calling for representation on and when the companies appease, it’s never enough.

Symmetra exists. 
Because it wasn’t a problem in the first place. Its a video game and it has a diverse cast to start with. All random with different traits, it is and will always be impossible to include everyone. While I understand that black women make up a major portion of the population, its not like blizzard purposefully didn’t include one. They just didn’t have a clear idea for one. They have some black women that are characters in the lore but for some that isn’t good enough. But you cant force creativity, Blizzard is a company that has a main goal of polish and entertainment. If they can’t find a place to fit a character then they simply wont include it until it works and feels natural. inclusivity is not a demand, it is a request. and blizzard seems to try their best to solve these requests. They are not malicious, everyone knows this. They just need time and people are impatient.
Basically, this. Im not overhyped for anything OW2 (release) related, for the simple fact that we have no idea when we are getting it.
Hard to be hyped for something we know little about, other than the fact it exists and will be released at some point, in the future (Soon™)

Mostly because we don’t have her in-game yet, and we probably wont see her until … who knows really? In a year? 2 years? 20 years?

Eh. I’m fine with DPS heroes being released so long as they keep up the trend of more tanks and supports being released than DPS.
Because it’s the forums. This isn’t the place to celebrate a black hero. It’s just the place to complain for the lack of one.
