You Assume that everyone who complains is stuck in Gold. How funny
This is the most “forum silver” take i have seen here in a while lol
Why all the rank assumptions and shames? maybe these people have no rank and stay clear of toxic comp.
Mercy - recent complaints have been about her being a subpar pick not OP.
Kiriko - Why can’t Suzu just be a cleanse/heal, why does it need to have invulnerable frames too?
Mauga - Cardiac Overdrive is quite possibly the best tank ability that OW has ever seen. Perhaps make the damage reduction aspect only apply to Mauga and not the whole team.
i love talking about overwatch to people who don’t even play overwatch.
Well thats great hunny but I do play overwatch so sorry to burst your bubble
no, i definitely believe you.
also that’s not how you spell hunny, honey.
Sadly…that is the type of mentality killing me in this game.
“Oh Ball is annoying!” Goes Sombra and spam hacks JUST THE BALL PLAYER.
Great. Fantastic. Wonderful. I totally got beaten by raw skill and not some sort of cheese because a player can’t handle a good Ball player with their main heros. You got me devs! I got outplayed bt a superior Sombra who is just soooo very gooooood at haaaccckkking a taaaannnkkk.
I’m enjoying the people who think the op was wrong.
This game won’t change your life, it has little to no cultural impact. People outside this tiny bubble don’t care if you’re unable to get out of gold.
A little perspective is needed. Is it work getting angry over a free game.
this guy doesn’t let kiriko suzu fo sho.
well… i play heroes everyone hates so i guess thats too bad (widow, sombra and moira)
blame the devs
widow is nothing. if you play well, you get instantly countered. if you don’t, “don’t interrupt your enemy when he’s making mistakes”. moira is still pretty cringe but you only really deserve to burn in hell for sombra.
so really, you’re just not enough of a threat to be countered. 'cause if that were the case, you definitely wouldn’t be playing widow.
I didnt know you were savage like that
Where this is 100% correct, the issue is I can’t join chat to tell my learning disabled teammates these basic strategies because I’ll be reported for chat. So we just take the loss. Game is broken.
The mentality is not killing the game. What’s hurting people’s experiences is the degree to which hard counters exist and the extremes to which heroes take their strengths.
No one whines about Winston, Dva, or Doomfist to the extremes as Ball has it. Doomfist has high mobility with punch and slam. However, he at some points stops moving since all of his mobility is tied to a 4 and 6sec cooldown. He uses his mobility to get in, then is forced to use a shotgun which has extreme fall off. Which is very similar to Dva and Winston. Both have a single mobility skill, stop moving and are just big targets. They both have <10m effective range.
Ball on the other hand has very accurate weapons up to around 25m where the spread/fall off hurt him. While at the same time having a 100% mov spd passive which has no cooldown to practically abuse. He still has grapple as an ability for mobility. The only reasonable way to keep him in check because of his 100% mov spd passive is using CC because he gets away most every other situation any time he would have normally lost grapple.
They really need to nerf his total mobility on his passive in exchange for something else to the point where getting hacked is not such a death sentence as many other tanks as well as it doesn’t feel as necessary to run CC to keep him in check.
Its 15m. Then after the 15 meters it starts to lose out on damage up to the max beyond 25m.
But alright sure. Tell me more about my main that Idk.
You are thinking the minimum, I’m thinking the maximum. The 25m point is where I’d say he stops being effective because the spread by this point is too much and you miss shots. Tickle dmg at max range still has value in this game when it can be applied accurately to finish off targets trying to escape or combine with another heroe’s burst dmg. Cherrypicking one statement from the whole argument is completely missing the point.
The primary weapon is a single aspect of Ball having had a lot of buffs to his design since OW2 came out. The only thing keeping him in check is the CC. Which to me is the wrong approach for his character. When they had a chance at a rework, it should have been a bit more severe to his overall design.
Ball is disproportionately worse for his design on CC because he’s doing a very risky play getting into a team, getting canceled out of it, then getting killed for it. Being CC’d at the outskirts of an enemy team is less disastrous because you can frequently walk into cover to minimize your exposure. If you were actually with one’s team, one would have support assistance.
Ball’s design is too much of barreling through people or dropping onto them. Instead of playing on the outskirts of a team which is what most Winston, Dva, and Doomfist players will do for their dives. They will get to a position to minimize how many people can hit them, then they will immediately return to their team most often for the healing and play within range.
Ball plays too much out of range and his extreme design is not working well for the game. This applies to many heroes which include Mercy, Junkrat, Zen, and more.
You know, this does make a lot of sense.
If you don’t want a DPS to eliminate you, just don’t let them left click you.
My brain is expanding why didn’t I understand before?
How? Its her cooldown ability, she can use it when she wants to.
Fantastic advice for these two heroes, though. The amount of people who don’t shoot Mercy and then claim she’s overpowered is crazy. Same with Sombra. People won’t look around for her, and yet say its her fault when they lose to her.
How did Valve get players to spy check? Its literally just shooting around at nothing, yet players won’t do it to fight Sombra.
Yeah start comparing Ball’s hitscan guns to others.
Its nowhere near close as effective, in range nor damage.
