Why are they reworking brig's ult again?

It’s a fair ult that’s fun to use, much more interesting than all the support ults that are just “you’re teammates have infinite effective hp for a few seconds” or “your teamate(s) are turbobuffed for a few seconds”
Why not rework one of the many braindead instantly do a bunch of damage/stunning to everyone near you ults that don’t work in 5v5 instead

Rally is kind of a worse sound barrier at the moment that is why, without the armor on allies which was broken as hell it has no use really.

Its by far the weakest of the support ults.
It could maybe still work in its current form, if they changed it back to providing temporary overamor instead of overhealth, plus some other kind of small buff.

I feel like they could just tweak some numbers on it and it would be fine. But even as is, brig is a pretty solid support after her recent buffs.

It needs some sort of change since it’s currently lacking. But yeah, I don’t really see the point of doing so much work on the particles that it’s taking them 4 seasons + several betas worth of time when it’s an easily tweaked ult as is. Seems like that effort would be better spent on bigger issues.

Eh, prehaps they were super inspired and thought up an absolutely perfect replacement that’ll all be worth it. But my exception is that they were just struggling to find easy enough things to change and are just holding it over Support mains heads on purpose.

NGL everytime i use it, i feel like i should be way tougher than i am, so i go in all hard and die instantly. everytime, i can never learn. It’s just not very powerful but it feels like she should charge in but nah dont do that never do that.

That depends on platform and rank. Currently on PlayStation in Plat, Ball isn’t seeing play. It’s mainly Rein/Orisa/Sigma.

Your team needs to charge in with you in order for that kind of play to work.

Because with removal of rally armor AND bash stun, there’s no reason to pick brig

Every single part of her kit, another hero does better

Idk. I feel like Rally had 2 core utilities to it.

  1. Providing a source of team sustain during anti-heal (less reliance on Kiriko).
  2. Overhealth’s reduction in enemy ult charge rate. They even nerfed this aspect, as it played a part in making “Joats” so overpowering.

Both kind of niche, but still present. Interested to see how they change it though.

Yeah but that 100hp is so easy to burst through that bringing Kiriko to counter antiheal is a much smarter choice.

Im on console and don´t have a clue what rank I´m in when checking other players it is gold and up… Play´s only qp tho but I see mostly Rein/Orisa and a few Hammonds… Sigma is far between so…

But she (Brigg) is not a main healer unless you got a team that does a ton of damage…

Seen more and more of Zarya tho… But I´m happy to play Brig and is last time I c

Doomfist still got a stun so why can´t she have hers? The rally armour I don´t care that much about but I like the speed boost she have now…

Because theres currently not enough love for team Mei. Her Ult needs more Mei

Its a mix of amped heal and move speed aura, the ultimate could work simply by making it strong like every single ultimate in the game but Blizzard doesnt want to.

Because doom got moved to the tank role. Her stun always harassed tanks and now that there’s just one brig would bully them anytime they move. I could see stun returning in her ult but idk about in general.

Having an ult that basically does the same thing as JQ’s basic ability is just boring. I always feel underwhelmed when playing Brigitte and finally charged my ult. Other heroes wipe you whole team with an ult and if I ult or not often doesn’t even matter the slightest. If it would come with a short window of invulnerability, then it might be useful. But right now it is just the most boring ult in the game.

If they gave her stun/disrupt back the could change Hog back. Without his take a breather he is more vulnerable. And Doomfist needs to choose his engagement.

Same with deathblossom. She can already block both D.VA bomb and Cassidy high noon.

Putting her stun in the ultimate you need to remove the cool down or lower it significantly for getting any value of it.

Support ult should focus on protection. Even if Moira’s does damage it does healing too.
The sad state of Briggs ult is that does nothing to protect against high burst damage as Lucio does.
Zenyatta’s does not protect against high burst but damage over time.

Even in lore it is stated that the reason she done the armour is to protect her friends.
She is not bad/evil enough to have an ult that does damage. Her ult in OW1 was more akin to the lore so that’s that.
So the question is; what should her ult do, should it protect against a specific kind of damage, an ult or an ability?

Rally is supposed to make you nearly unstoppable at rushing supports like Ana or Zen, but with low predictable damage and bionade, it is clearly not working.

When comparing her to doom, I don’t think you’d want brig to get her stun back. Both were problematic in their ow1 states and for that doom got entirely reworked and two of his abilities virtually removed. The same would probably happen to brig if she got her stun back.
