You know who I am talking about. The guys who refuse to cooperate. The pocket healers. The dumbnuts who refuse to switch even when hard countered; who simply refuse to adapt and work as a team.

To be fair, there are many systems in the game that disincentivize the desired behaviors.
Eh, you see what you want to see. I get asked to switch all the time because I am “being countered” when I am literally not. If you believe that I am incompetent, well, there are so many incompetent players because that is what you believe.
It all comes down to communication. How do you get on the same page? I have been guilty of calling teammates inept (not to their faces, I play without a mic, just talking to myself) and in hindsight realize they were just going for something else.

Most players aren’t incompetent. They’re just flat out stupid.
Look at anyone that’s GM or higher: They’re skilled, but say and do dumb things constantly. Even pros are no different. Goes to show just how skilled most high ranked players are – that they can be complete idiots and still maintain their ranks.
You have these in every game. Try World of Tanks some time, the amount of horribad players is astounding. It’s to the point where Win Rate is a shoddy metric to go by. You usually go by someone’s average tier, whether they seal club or not … which is a term describing good players wrecking new players in low tiers, and their performance such as average damage done.
