This game has completely gone to heck with it’s roster… Every game is like the same 7 or 8 characters and you NEVER see the others.

Because anytime an unpopular hero gets a buff and starts seeing high level play, content creators start screaming. Which is echoed by their followers. Blizzard gets tired of hearing it, and nerfs said hero back to gutter.

I’m holding my breath waiting see the stereotypical answer to “name an f tier hero” to be “genji”.
I don’t there is an actual f tier hero. Like a hero that is unplayable at every rank.

1st things 1st we gotta Describe what an F tier is.
Id say there’s definitely a disparrage between heroes and quite a big one at that, You got characters like Hanzo, Rat, Reaper, Torb who are in the backseat for most of the time, except for maybe once or twice.
And then you got the differences in Kits from say Zen vs Kiriko where one has so much more then the other.
and i know people are gonna say Oh well if you play well you can do fine with em or you can stilk get results, That means nothing, that’s the bare minimum of balancing

It’s so crazy how bad sym is damage wise.
I sometimes play her and due to how long it takes her to charge an orb + projectile + no headshot you can sometimes just not kill people, even if you hit everything. I’ve had numerous times where people are standing still typing or afk, and i literally cannot kill them with sym, but any other DPS would 100% kill them through healing.
Most players don’t have a lot of time to learn heroes, so they choose the ones that are most versatile. It makes sense that the player base would land on the set of the tried and true.
Dev favoritism. If you aren’t a high mobility flanker, or a precision hitscan, you don’t matter.

Balanced game has no tiers
Orisa and Soj are definitely F tier. There is no reason to pick them, like ever.

S - good
A - worth playing
B - mid
C- trash
D - tier list creator wants to pretend that trash is not trash
F - fruitcakes that want to emphasize how trash their D tier hero is
This is the generic “how everyone actually uses tier lists” interpretation.

Ive ran into quite a few lifeweavers in comp and they pair well with mauga right now because he can charge in do some dmg and life weaver can heal and life grip mauga back to the team. Its a strong combo so dont think either of them are unplayable. The closet to F tier is probably gonna be symmetra because of how much theyve nerfed her over the last few years but she can still do some poke dmg its just not enough to really make it count anymore. Her turrets are also kinda weak but they can be good for scouting the map at least.
Symmetra gets stronger the more mechanically weak her opponents are. Believe it or not, a lot of Overwatch players are mediocre at FPS and can’t easily destroy Sym.
Oh I know she was just so stronge against the double shield meta so the fact that they are testing it again may see her strength return in some way
