I mean, Sombra’s rework is clunky and messy and it feels pretty bad. People will adapt but overall, power levels so far look pretty bad. That is being talked about so I won’t touch on it.
In general, some of the changes are fine. but from what I have seen the main issues are:
- Double nerfing Juno - one nerf could have done it, two feels overkill. She’s used a lot in high ranks, which justified a nerf, but two is…a lot. It feels heavy-handed but we’ll see.
- Ram being nerfed - odd. Like you said, it didn’t feel needed. And now it’s just going to be an indirect buff to Rein (who is getting a mythic weapon next season, so hm…maybe that was why lol) and Sigma (who did not need any indirect buffs).
- Mauga being buffed - they keep micro-buffing tanks that aren’t even doing too bad, and these micro-buffs always turn out to be too much. People do not like playing against Mauga, Orisa, or Roadhog because of how frustrating they are to play against and how powerful tanks are in deciding a match. Micro-buffing a tank people do not like playing against is poorly received.
- Hanzo buffs - he’s back to how he was before the HP changes…except now multiple heroes have less HP than he does. Why does a 250HP hero have a one-shot? People do not like one shots, now on a 250HP hero. It opens the question for why we even did any HP changes to reduce burst, just to give it back to him.
- Sojourn changes - seems pretty strong. But she was doing pretty poorly. I haven’t seen much discussed about her, though, so that might be a good thing.
- Baptiste - this cornball support hero didn’t need a buff. Let alone one because "
aiming with his recoil makes me tired" - which is stupid because he’s baby’s first burst rifle. I hope they nerf him later. People generally view Baptiste as a hero who does too much, for too little effort. And this change supports that.
- Brig - she is situationally meta. And any time that she is, she gets nerfed so it makes her less viable outside of those situations…to where she just becomes straight up bad most of the time.
