We’ve had the arcade gamemodes that are event specific available always, and in Anniversary events after 2019 we’ve had all gamemodes available in custom games. Why would the developers remove event-specific gamemodes from custom games in Anniversary Remix 2 given that they were all available in Anniversary Remix 1.
This is beyond frustrating for me in particular as an active member of the Lucioball Community but it’s not just Lucioball that this effects and it’s infuriating that the devs seemingly randomly decide whether or not we get to play these gamemodes during the Anniversary.
I really hope this is an honest mistake because otherwise this is going to end up the worst playercount for an event ever alongside ruining my plans for the next few weeks
This must be a mistake you would think that Blizzard would encourage players to come back and play their more popular gamemodes in custom, they have such a good lineup. Can’t help but feel disappointed. I was actually looking forward to playing them in custom.
Thats a big part of why we miss customs! Being able to play on the classic map(s), albeit with the new mechanics but is still a lot of fun, was a fairly large community last anni volume.
I’ve come around over time to the new mechanics like stomp, makes the game faster and more exciting.
I’m with you that the maps are silly but I still love the game and like is said above here you can always do custom games on the classic maps which is usually what the top level community does.
I have more time in arcade than all other modes combined (last time I checked at least) my friends enjoy QP so I play with them. But if it were up to me I’d be in Arcade.
