Why are tanks being turned into dps?

I thought this patch was mainly just for durability purposes, so why did so many tanks get dmg buffs too?

D.Va literally got dps buffs last patch too…

Sigma was already a very solid A-S tier tank…

Ram Pummel is back too.

Literally HOG dmg buffs!

Mauga with 100% lifesteal!

The USUAL Orisa micro buff/revert per patch…

Huge Queen buffs! (Might be too much paired with the DPS passive nerf)

Phara baby fart nerf.

Cass completely random nerf. (Ignoring his bullet size or high hp pool again)

HELP WHAT IS THIS?! :sob::sob::sob:

Because tank sucks and has big problems to kill or survive currently. Do we really need to explain why tanks need the buffs?

I am not opposed to tank buffs at all, I just though they wanted to make them tankier not also deadlier.

Tanks aren’t not fun because they lack damage, but because they get hard focused by every CC imaginable.
This patch just so misses the mark

Tanks dont need buffs at all

They need to not be so easy to counterpick and make useless

if you dont play the counters, tanks are actually extremely oppressive to face

Then you go counters and they fall over

Thats the problem with tanks and buffing them just makes that worse

You can make Defense matrix last 10 seconds, dva will still be useless vs beams and fall over as soon as you swap to them. The more they buff DM the more nonbeam heroes become unplayable vs dva and the more and more it forces you to play those beam heroes. Literally does the opposite and just makes the game worse for everyone

They need to do SOMETHING to make tanks more appealing. You all gripe and groan, but are unwilling to play the role yourself.

Yeah, buffing tanks will literally just make counter swapping worse tbh. The stronger a tank is, the more it is necessary to counter it

Given the rhetoric before role queue, I dont think people will be able to cope without a tank to hide behind.

They literally dont. Tanks shouldve just stayed bad. They make up a minority of the playerbase so why would we adhere to what they want???

The only people griping and groaning about tank is tank players

You didnt swap off lifeweaver, just stood there, firing at nothing, letting a dva waddle up to you and blast you point blank constantly.

Because these balance people don’t play their own game. That’s the only ‘logical’ reason they’d do something so unbelievably stupid.

The hell am I saying, there is no logic here. They turned them into raid bosses and when THAT doesn’t fix it, they’ll probably giga buff them even worse.
