Why are so many healer players so entitled?

I feel like this community has a major circle of praising healers for just doing their job and complain how hard it is. No it isn’t. Healer is probably the easiest role to play. Especially since most of them don’t really require much aim to heal except Ana. And no this is not one of those “aim=skill” posts.

In fact healers are probably in the best place now than they’ve ever been. I remember when Moira and Brig didn’t exist and dive was meta you had Tracers and Genjis picking off Mercy and Zen quite easily. That is not the case anymore.

You can just switch to a healer that is harder to kill. And a lot of people help their healers way more now than they used to and teammates stick together.

Anyway I see that mindset a lot in game too where people think they are entitled for your gratitude for playing support. Especially Anas that just press Q on you (this is coming from an Ana main). The Genji is the one that needs to know where to dash and to do it fast before he gets CC’ed.

I feel like DPS don’t get enough credit sometimes and I know this is a very unpopular opinion on here. The best example of this is when the game ends and you see that Widow having 30 scoped hits and basically carrying her team to victory while people always upvote the Mercy instead, a hero arguably anyone can play decently.

Laughs in how wrong you are

You can win games with poor DPS (happens a lot in the lower ranks here)

But on the other side you can’t win a lot of games with poor healers.

I’ve experienced that like once in the entire time I’ve been playing. 99.99% of widows are a waste of pixels.

Because without them, your games would be 6dps fests, with each one of the dps arguing how they’re better than the other 5.

It’s ok to thank them sometimes

What role is easier to play then?

Tank? Where most of the time you constantly get screwed by CC or your massive hitbox makes you hard to miss?

Or DPS where you have to aim well for most heroes and get picks so your team can push? Especially now since snipers are meta so which sniper is better wins the game most of the time.

But yeah I guess staying in the back and trying to dodge damage is way harder ¯_(ツ)_/¯

The better your Support, the higher your Minimum Potential is
The better your Tanks, the bigger your window of opportunity is.
The better your DPS, the higher your Maximum Potential is…

Uh, the entire DPS roster ?

Well, good DPS should receive credit from their team.
But just think in reverse. DPS are more aim based, mechanically harder to play and sometimes squishy, so a lot of people wanna play them and all but if they are not mechanically good to kill the enemy and keep dying a lot, what value are they bringing to the team?
That’s why people value way more their healers that help their team to stay more time alive (despite having an easy mechanical way).
DPS are more about “solo shine” / “solo carry” the team… It’s just that Tanks and Healers can enable them even more with their team utility (providing more time alive or enable to get more damage done).

Me having a different opinion that’s not popular is trolling because you don’t agree with it. Ok.

How is playing DPS easier than support? Please explain it.

Yeah, I nanoed the genji and then I naded to enemy zens trans and I slept the hog that would have hooked him. But sure praise genji for shift m1 m1 m1. Ana just had to aim, build ult, survive enemies targeting her as killing her is the main goal and then create every possible opening for the genji to do max damage but forget her, his taijutsu was the most important. You can tell it was because that got POTG and he lit of up the kill feed. If you thank Ana for that you’re a wuss

You pressed Q in a direction and slept a target that is very hard to miss. I agree the nade part can be tricky and not everyone can do it, especially if they have a shield.
But other than that, what? What other healer besides Ana is that active?
Trying to predict ults with other healers? As if you need to play support to do that?
Or Mercy that just flies from teammate to teammate and is very easy to dodge damage? Especially with her super jump. The only thing that is risky with her is the rez and that’s it.

Genji dashes in the middle of the enemy team and becomes the main focus for all of them. How many times have you actually seen him get CC’ed, solo ulted etc. If it was that easy anyone would play him well.

Bruh everyone in this game is entitled. It’s quite toxic but it’s not something that we can fix really

Depends on what aspect of playing a hero you are referring to.

DPS need mechanical aim to be useful.

Tanks need positioning to be useful.

Healers need gamesense/tracking to be useful.

All heroes in the game need the above, but each role emphasizes one in order to provide value to the team.

So while healers may not need aim or crucial positioning, it’s important for them to know their surroundings, track their allies/enemies, etc. They need to know when to take cover, when to jump into the frey, when to support their teammates (and who to prioritize), etc. Support is dead? Your team is now at a huge disadvantage.

Entitled? in what way?
I’ve never seen a healer asking a tank “hey dude, can you switch to DPS?”
I’ve never seen a healer asking another healer “hey dude, can you switch to DPS?”
I’ve seen DPS players A LOT of times asking “hey dude, can you switch to healer” or asking one of the healers to switch to tank.

Hum? Yeah no. Also OMEGALUL @ “Healer is probably the easiest role to play.”

Very easy to confirm that since you have a private profile btw lol.

A quote you can say to every hero.
How many times have i seen a trash rein, mercy or widow.
You might wanne think about calling everything beside dd braindead, otherwise we woud have way more…oh wait, we have way more dd players then tank and support.
looks like dds are way easyer then you make them sound.

“I feel like DPS don’t get enough credit”

Feeling entitled to that credit it seems…

People don’t often praise the DPS because it’s never really the role that people are hoping someone plays or else it’s a loss. DPS are common and in low demand and goats has shown that they are optional.

I’m a very talkative support player and the most I’m ever praised for are call outs.

Sure, for naked blades. With nano blade, slash + dash kills all squishies so his mobility is ridiculous and he has the 50% damage resist. I rarely see that stopped.
