I was just woundering if anyone else waits 8-15 mins for a game? I mean this is a long time. Your more pop games dont even have wait times like these, ( fortnite, COD etc) with in a hour i might play 2 maybe 3 games. Who wants to waste that much time just to play a game or 2? Is it just me?

Well, people complained about bad match-making. So now it’s back to long queue times.
You can only have one of those if the player-base is small. And the player-base is small because devs failed to fix the MM in time.

WNY, im only bronze 5. Ive leved up to bronze 5 3 times in a row, with all wins for level ups. Im stuck there. Everyone says its my skills,but i play dps/support moira so kill count high and healing high. I just played and had 13k heals. Platform tv mode/nintendo switch

I wait a max of 8 minutes… but that’s for my GM1 support games. I have 3 minutes or less on the other roles

You said your platform is Switch yea? Do you by chance have Crossplay turned off?
I know if I turn off crossplay on PS5 my times go from 1-3 min Flex to 5-8 min. It could also be that OQ lost a lot of popularity with the en masse tank stacking from s1-s2.
All that matters is that you win games. I think it’s having a hard time matching you up. there are less players on the very bottom just like at the very top.
Open q comp? Thats all i play. I use to play for the battle pass and quests, but the pass has been garbage in my opinion latley so i now its only comp.
Sounds to me like your problem with queue times is a factor of your rank and platform. From your description, you’re pretty low down in the pit of Bronze 5, and asymptotic regions of the rating bell curve – very low Bronze and very high GM – can have extended wait times, compared to more central parts of the curve. Added on top of this is your platform: as far I know, and my information here might be rather outdated, the Switch OW population is somewhat stunted, compared to other platforms.
If I’m not mistaken, Switch is the one console that doesn’t have access to crossplay. (Again, my information on this may be outdated).
Yea,maybe. I have been placed in bronze 5 3 times in a row. And every level/rank up have been off the 5 game wins. So idk. If i only play 3 games an hour its not worth me playing cause of that. I want to play not wait for a 10 min q and then play for 15-20 mins and do it all over agian you know?
I suggest using a workshop for aim in custom games to improve while waiting for your queue. It should get better at bronze 3+.
In Mystery Heroes (comp), it was about a 10-minute wait so I just did it till I got placed in my rank and moved on.

That’s something that you must answer for yourself. Do you enjoy playing the game; and if yes, do you enjoy it enough to justify the wait times?
