I don’t really care if one person asks about it but right now, the forums are flooded with people asking for and about LGBT heroes. It can get really frustrating for those who want to address legitimate problems in the forums for people to see. Also, I thought the lore and writing team would be apart of the development team as they are development a section of Overwatch; the story. Guess not ;-;.
Like I said in my first post, if it wasn’t for anti-LGBT going in and hijacking and harassing LGBT people and making anti-LGBT threads then it would’ve been a few quiet threads. Instead it turns into a bunch of people arguing because the anti-LGBT people go in and say bigoted things to LGBT people and in various ways say they are against it and then make sweeping statements about LGBT people and/or their supporters.

TBH, I think a lot of people are not aware of that information, so their animosity is coming from a place of ignorance about game design more so than hatred towards the idea of lgbt heroes.
That and this forum doesn’t have a lore related section. And some people find lore discussion annoying.
I think that the people who run this forum could do a lot to reduce the toxicity towards these threads by making a section for lore discussion, explaining the process about character background stories (they actually hire writers) in one of the threads like these, and just removing trolling from those threads so new ones didn’t have to keep being created.
If they did that, it would go a long way to cut down the animosity about it.
