There’s nothing wrong with how she longs, whatever way she looks. Stop trying to shame people into agreeing with you by making them out to be bad people for not agreeing with your insecurities.

Yup. There’s still people out there that still believe in that stupid BMI chart.
I’m 5’10" and used to weigh 165 before I started going to the gym. Im 195 and the BMI chart says Im overweight, but Im in way better shape than I was 30 pounds ago.

People don’t seem to realize that muscles are heavy.
…or that large amounts of exercise demand that you eat like a horse for that matter.
It’s interesting how…sensitive certain people get when a topic that involves discussion on diversity appears —- “W-what? Diversity??? In MY games??? Nonononono NO NOBODY CARES IT’S JUST A GAME ASSFFGHHHFFDJJK curse youuuuu sjwwwwwsssss!”
If anything, the people who have to reassure everyone that Mei is definitely totally not chubby under her winter coat are insecure, which may or may not have to deal with how being fat is seen as undesirable (although it’s normal) especially on women, and it’s a direct confrontation to how they see Mei as their waifu.

I really don’t care about the body type they give to Mei. I find her so beautiful the way she is and so interesting and smart that if she was real i would have asked her out a long time ago.
Mei looks chubby to me. But people like to defend it with that meme word and say she’s thicc instead, even though all that is is a meme word.
She’s chubby, but not fat, not skinny either or just big boobed, but she’s big boobed with a little fat on her, which makes her chubby.

She’s thick and I love it, jokes aside. I’ve always found skinny women extremely unattractive while imo bigger women tend to be very sexy.
If you actually look at her body, you can see that she doesn’t have unecessary body fat - she’s just naturally built that way. She has wide hips, strong legs, a big bust size and skinnier waist.
I’m a guy who has been extremely skinny all my life and is almost unable to gain weight, even though I never work out and eat all the time. My body is just built that way.

This seems a lot more like projection, and your original post seems a lot more like self reassurance. Also, I would like to know where you found out that being fat, as in being overweight and obese (particularly on women) is healthy. Sounds like something activists would say, rather than the medical community.

Yes we know they exist do you want a sticker? No ones afraid of chubby people, we want you to stop crying because people wont draw her fat or raging because she isnt and showing evidence of it.
Given in game sprays, her totally bogus “bugged waist” in the chinese new year skin, and her new skin showing a clearly thin waist, I think it’s a lot more accurate to say why are some people afraid that she’s thin.
Why must you insist she’s chubby when two of her sprays show a clearly thin figure? Or her newest skin shows her being thin also. There’s more evidence for her actual body type being thin that there is it being chubby.

Mei isn’t thin, but her new skin looks weird because it gives her this roadhog esque gut but NOTHING ELSE. I don’t have a problem with them having an overweight character of either sex, but the kerfuffle isn’t that “OMG MEI IS FAT”. It’s that “OMG… her back! HER FRONT!” . Her current model is inconsistent with not only itself but other models and sprays showing her without the excess clothes.
This isn’t about saying she can’t be fat, it’s just she never was and the new skin looks weird.
Oh… and being fat isn’t something we should just accept. As a former really fat person it isn’t healthy and while you’re no less of a person for being fat, it’s something you should aspire to change. I’ll accept you’re fat, you accept that it’s not a desired state of being.

I think it’s just a result of carrying that canister on her back all the time. Must be heavy.
I feel like people are using the terms “fat” and “skinny” very liberally. She’s not skinny like most of the female cast, but she certainly isn’t fat either. She’s got meat, which I still relatively healthy.

Everytime Mei walks with that canister on her back a unsettling crunch is heard.
My husband was 250 lbs, he learned he was diabetic and the doctor told him he had to lose weight or will suffer crippling joint issues. He lost weight and is now 150 lbs…he no longer has diabetes and he’s much happier and healthier than ever before.
You are young and the consequences of being fat has yet to surface, so it might seem like a myth…but don’t make a habit out of being overweight…it will catch up to you later on and you will not only have to fight the years of habitual over eating…but also a different lifestyle. It is also much harder to lose weight as you age (as your metabolism goes down) , so yes thank you blizzard for not glorifying fatness…it is no necessary.
