but the current state is
thereās no reason to pick Mercy over Ana or Moira
because Anaās nano boost and burst healing potential is much better than Valkyrie and 50HPS,
and Moira can consistently do damage AND Healing so its like

Well, she is now because her healing is pretty much useless and who even cares about damage boosting, and if you understand the projectile of her gun, you will be stacking Potgs every match, I donāt even use her staff anymore, I just type in the chat I wonāt heal much btw and get kills more than our DPS.
So Blizzard technically made her an off healer

she has her own role now, not enough healing for a main healer and by far not enough dmg (her dmg is nearly non-existent even) for an off-healer.
Sheās an off healer because her HPS is too low and canāt be sustained without a second/main healer to assist.

Yeah. Some of her best damage boost uses were on ults and they removed all that.
-damage boost? Little to no value now.
-healing? Sub par, canāt out heal the low damage from Winston
-valk? no game swinging with that
It was was bad enough when valking and watching your team mates die every time, now you canāt even help them with heals - just like watching slo mo death scenes cause the throughput is too low now.

Valkyrie is basically just a free get-away if the enemy doesnāt have godly aim and a glorified spectator mode for you to watch your team die with if thereās a massive teamfight going on.

I gave up on healing the moment I saw the new patch notes of her new nerf with reduced healing, but I still wanted to play mercy and became a battle mercy, and itās pretty embarrassing for people to get solo killed by mercy and they leave the match because of me lol.
So sheās a DPS for me now uwu~

So you play Reaper anyway, because itās more fun to lose a game than to win at chores.
Damage boost has never been excessively good. It is when combined with discord as it enables OHKOs on heroes with like 120 damage moves. Otherwise, it is best for getting people their ultimates faster. It does not convert really any one heroās time to kill faster by reducing number of shots needed very much.
Whether you have 60 h/s or 50 h/s Winston is going to tick people at 10 h/s. Heāll have more value trying to kill you than the person you are healing if this is a 2v1 against winston.
No different from before with Valkyrie when people thought she was the best at everything.

She is still a main healer. She is still ran as a main healer. People just be salty over the nerf. Her job hasnāt changed.
This is extremely inaccurate. If this was the case then Mercy mains would also have complained before Mercy got invul during rez when she vad the lowest pickrate out of all the supports (about the same as sym). And they also complained right after she got reworked when she was super OP. This doesnāt make much sense.
The only heroes that does less HPS than ger arenāt main healers (zen and brig).
