Why are 'On Fire' Voice Lines still in-game?

The system has been gone now, for 3 months.
Blizzard did say in (I think First Beta?) they wanted to reimplement it, but surely they would’ve done it by now.

Alas, here we are; it’s still not here and they’ve not said whether or not they’re bringing it back. Then again, it seems although the dev team wanted to be more “open” with us, they’re still just saying nothing.

It’s an actual joke.

Even without the fire system

When you’re doing well it going “Im on fire”
Still works without it.

Lol no. There are plenty of examples of things they’ve said are coming that haven’t been implemented yet.

Yeah, if we ignore the things they are saying, then they are saying nothing. You’re right.

OK, yeah. They were open about their little patch-thing not working in Season 1.
But it took them 6 weeks from launch for them to admit that.

Same thing with how Rank Reset works in OW2, it took them an entire season to be open about it.

Need I go on? Or are you just going to shill for a shoddy dev team.

Shill? Stating facts isn’t shilling my guy. They haven’t been saying nothing.

You can have a conversation about how you think they haven’t been saying enough or the quality of their info isn’t good enough, but let’s be reasonable about how we have these conversations, i.e. not disingenuous.

Blizz has been really quiet on this lol, but I guess they’re still in it as like a: “good job for uhh, I getting lots of kills, I guess”

Maybe they’ll put it back in, idk

The lines still make sense on their own so no big deal

Straight up poor development

I guess, idk if the new updated engine is giving them a hard time implementing the on fire system back.

Who knows except them haha

Surely there was not intention to remove it completely, since there are new “on fire” lines for every hero.

Considering they plan to reimplement it, probably not.

Same with the card system, even Kiriko had voice lines for it in the files at launch.

I write code for aircraft autopilot systems. Game development is not that complex.

It has its nuances of course. But it’s not so difficult it can’t be addressed in a timely manner.

Recorded voice lines don’t say a lot considering they also gave them lines for enemy shield generators.

I have been suspecting for weeks now that the dev team is incredibly smaller than people think. It may be that instead of a real dev team, we have a token dev team that has basically no real manpower to change the game.

I think the people who left as OW was being ruined (last 2 years) weren’t replaced, or only by noobs.

Very much poor communication on their part, there is still so many problems that have not been addressed (except for the patch we will be getting that nerfs/buffs certain characters)

Shield generators will almost definitely feature in the PVE, so I can see that being the reason

But anyway, I think the card voice lines for the recent heroes are more significant, because there wasn’t really a good reason to remove the card system without replacing it with the something else other than it just being unfinished.

You mean the patch that they buffed the hero that everyone said needed to be nerfed?

I have no idea what they’re even thinking.

They also gave them to heroes released sooner after Sym’s rework,if it’s really for the sake of PvE that’s a lot of planning in advance.

They might have had a different reason back then, like maybe they had plans to reuse the shield generator for a future hero. But I imagine the reason they’d continue to add them now is because of the PVE.

I don’t know, I’m not one of the devs obviously.

I am talking about the next one  where sojourn will hoped actually be nerfed this time. I hope they actually buff Ramattra too (to the point where he’s actually useful)

But other than that, we are only getting shop updates and there are still a few more bugs
