Why are diamond+ players in plat? Matchmaking sucks thats why.

In metal ranks you can play two ranks above or below. Gold can play with Bronze and Diamond.

Im in masters and have seen random bronze in my game rare but its happend
Because Blizz thinks, if you win a few games that you should carry teammates from some leagues under you or you deserve losses. That is why we go on lossstreaks after a winstreak

Probably deranked? I’ve seen a grandmaster role challenger in gold 3 couple of weeks ago. It was 2 of our DPS who had a public career profile and they somehow deranked all the way from masters to gold over the course of 3 seasons.
They weren’t outright throwing, but it kinda looked like they were soft throwing to me. Because I ended up getting double the damage of two of our DPS combined as baptise on top of highest healing in the lobby. Although most of my damage came from me constantly shooting the immortal enemy orisa while I was trying to keep my own orisa alive.
I lost my previous game before that which also happened to have these two grandmaster role challenger DPS players on my team as well. I have no clue why the matchmaker thought it was a good idea to pair me up with them twice in a row. I usually don’t avoid DPS or support players if they’re underperforming (only the tanks). But I had to make an exception this time. Because I didn’t trust the matchmaker in not pairing me up with them the third time.
Diamond and plat are right next to eachother. and can group with eachother
Why are master in bronze games? A question as old as overwatch “2” itself.

Assuming this is ranked and not yet another qp thread where people dont understand grouping.
Gold 2000 sr - bronze 1500 sr. Pretty sure ranked can pull from with in 1000sr.
To be honest there isnt that much difference between a high bronze or low gold. Little variation depending on what role or hero they are using.

It takes 1-2min to find a game as dps from silver/plat on EU. Before it took like 10-15mins. The reason is clear and obvious that they widen the skill gap for QP.

They are probably tired of the weird mixed matches. Also, I’m gonna assume some burn out. Honestly, I think I have been really disappointed and a lil burnt but still hoping for the best
The matchmaking will eff you over. This game literally does force feed you losses. I am not gonna argue with anyone who says otherwise.
The only people who are not being forced losses are skilled enough to take on a team of 5 and win each time.
I never have been and am in no way, such a player. I rely on teammates.

They’re grouped with their friends. Players with the largest difference between ranks are usually grouped with friends that are higher. I regularly get put in silver/gold matches as a plat support if I play with my lower ranked friends.
I was not aware that people in different ranks could play comp together.
It’s because there is still the 1000 SR difference for comp queues for those ranksso if you’re 2.5k you can queue with someone who id 1.5k and be put into gold games etc. Well if you get me (if you roughly convert the tiers like it was old SR).
