its in the title eSPORTS yes its a sport. its not a crutch to expect teamwork in a TEAM based game. I didnt design the game I just play it.
BLIZZ has created a culture of report tool abusers and censorship. Thatâs why no one is is comms or chat any longer.
Itâs an esport. Not anywhere near the same thing
It is absolutely expecting a crutch to not want to observe the game and instead have everyone give you information
For me, I got used to play without much communication but sometimes, communication is necessary for a good teamplay, you donât always need to talk, at least listen.
This was a team game, when they kicked out OW2 they said it was more reliant on individual game play. They basically said we are throwing team work out the window. Which is why OWL is no more.
Good.
However this must have been after the thread you made a week ago where you call people irrational and defensive just because they didnât want to be in VC with you⌠And that was after claiming to only communicate in the best way possible. Iâm glad you have made peace with things since then.
In some situations VC can help but itâs not required at all. Given the dangers of account action for minor transgressions, if you have a valuable or mature account I would heavily recommend turning off all the chats, both text and voice.
I stopped using text and voice chat. No-one else does, still get âwarning youâve received reports for inappropriate communicationâ though. Wild how bad the report function is.
Well I used to play without a mic since day 1 in most matches, my point of take is that SOMETIMES in some matches I need to talk or call out for something that I NEED to be heard, so when I call people to come to at least listen then I see them not joining FROM THE BEGINNING just because I said âVCâ WITHOUT ANY TOXICITY is irrational to me, because I donât initiate toxicity & I donât ask anyone even to talk in voice chat, I just need someone to listen in some matches & they can leave VC if I turned to be a toxic & I wonât, just DONâT JUDGE from the beginning. And yeah itâs my main account whether in Overwatch or in Playstation
Because there are zero in game incentives for playing as a team, being nice to your teammates, or coordinating on VC. If player power was tied to being a good teammate this game would be awesome. Too bad Blizz is focused on money, instead of making a good game.
If you went into a job interview, and were put with 4 random people and immeditately launched into a task which required communication, you would probably experience the same thing, and the internet makes it worse
If you want commâs find a group to queue with my dude - that being said, there is nearly always at least 3 people in VC in my games, I just have to talk first and the rest of them join in
sincere question from a supp main, do you ping if you see a flanker or a widow/sombra?? sometimes i ping a sombra or reaper who is flanking me and when i am on low health⌠but, my teammates (most of the times) do not help me. If this is how even GM level players play (as in, ignore the pings) then, i will adjust my gameplay accordingly while I am still learning.
Iâll occasionally ping a flanker Iâm marking, because if I fail to kill them Iâm not going to chase. Itâs a âHey! This guy might be on the backline soon!â
The only thing I always (everyone in high ranks is consistent on this one) ping is Widow. Because if you donât ping Widow and someone doesnât know where she is, theyâre gonna die 100% of the time.
But yeah, aside from Widow, I donât really ping that often. And of the pings I do, only maybe half of them are really listened to. You can ping all day, but it doesnât really matter if no one listens to it. No one pings while smurfing for this reason. Youâre not gonna find many pingers in GM, but youâre also not gonna find many that listen to them below it.
Pinging isnât a bad habit by any means, of course. If you want to do it, go right ahead. Just donât peek stupid angles specifically to ping things and youâre not putting yourself at a disadvantage. Net neutral at worst.
gotcha gotcha, makes sense. THNX
Ah yes, the reason people arenât in voice anymore is that they get reported for screaming slurs.
What a shame, truly the death knell of the game.
These people, I donât think they really how bored people are of their act nowadays.
They scream shout and abuse, then cry when karma hits. Tough luck champs.
your going in solo expecting everyday humans to do the thing you want that the wrong thats like taking random people off the street and have them run a foot ball team and think they would understand every call out you made. you can go into games expecting team work you are the team work you help your team and carry your own weight with out the help of other thats what it means to be a solo player if you want team work go look for a group to train with
i mean some people have kids that can yell things into your mic as well
They got rid of team finder. I dont use 3rd party apps.
