I used to have a skill rank of 92%, my hero rank for zarya used to be 99% now this season it’s dropped to 81%, and my overall skill rank has dropped to 85% (from 92%). My winrate used to be 58%, it is now 42%, it was even 29% at one point. Last season I was constantly climbing, I even peeked at 3458, after a small holiday I started dropping, I thought this was okay and I would get to my skill level again, but I haven’t?, I’m now at 3100. Can someone give some tips for zarya? Thanks I try to look at streamers but I don’t see at all what they’re doing differently to me apart from good mechanical aim and communication, obviously there’s something, but I can’t seem to find out what it is
Maybe you’re fatigued?
I don’t think so, It’s been holidays for me (just ended rip) and I’ve had plenty of sleep.
Either its nor season which can happen.
Or you are not able to handle the current meta/ new heros well.
Or maybe because other people are just taking your place since they are not at their max level yet.
Don’t give up tho. If you were their once you can be it again!
because overwatch is played on an inconsistent engine and balance which doesnt allow you to practice in a consistent environment which leads to inconsistent outcomes.
What is this skill rank you speak of?
Random nerfs and buffs have been going across the hero pool for a while now. Even if all your skills remained the same, the results might drastically change. Support hero’s have been hit the hardest in the last year and well given they “support” people it has a trickle down effect when they can’t do their job any more.
But also it is a team game and lets face it a lot of people stopped caring about OW. They hit what ever rank they managed to get and just mess around and troll others. Lets say your a GM player and you got there with a bunch of players pushing hard to rank up.
Now your playing with people who are bored of the game and looking to derank down to smurf. That or they just all think they are instant Ashe mains and pick her.
I suggest taking a break, worrying about you getting better or worse might affect your performance and you might lose more games.
Play some quickplay or arcade maybe. Try and have some fun rather than worry about your rank.
You’re probably try-harding. You’d think that doing so would improve your performance. You’d be mistaken.
it might not be your season. Heck I don’t even think SR is a good indicator of actual skill. Your SR might go down, but your skill level doesn’t go down like that.
I wouldn’t pay much attention to overbuff if that’s where you are getting your stats. It usually says I’m mid 90s for tracer, and I’d say I’m average at best.
