How accurate to your mouse movements are replays in general?
Mine seem to be at least somewhat accurate, but I’m positive that I just had a DPS in one of my games playing on a console controller.
I’m on PC.
They got reported for throwing. The controller suspicion was just a footnote, because they also spent the entire 2nd round playing a hero they had less than an hour with.
In comp. Which makes it, IMO, defacto throwing.
So other than venting I guess I have to ask.
Breaking out a hero you obviously don’t know how to play in comp.
We’re not talking about “oh, they simply don’t have any time on them”. The replay showed a distinct lack of knowledge about anything the hero could do. They didn’t even use all of their abilities.
It is obviously ok sometimes. Some people have wrist issues and can’t use a mouse that long. Some people have disabilities that make a mouse less comfortable. Some people are just…better with a controller.
I mean if they didn’t want player’s on PC playing with a controller they wouldn’t have that as an option in the first place. You can’t report a player for something the devs put into the game.
Also what rank was this at or could you show us the replay from that player’s perspective?
Controllers aren’t that big of a disadvantages until you get to plat. The average player has bad enough mechanics that a controller only player can make up in some other department. I say that confidently as I made a controller only account and got to plat with largely gamesense and ability usage. Don’t forget, controller or not, you’re still being matched against people fairly. If you swap to kbm it becomes unfair in the same sense that practicing a new hero on a smurf is fine, until you switch to your much higher rates main.
My profile is public. It’s low, but seriously…nobody can be this bad. I refuse to believe it. I scrubbed their name from the vid. Everyone else is innocent and tryharded their brains out.
From the video you showed us I would say he was just bad. He went invis once and put his translocator to a hacked healthpack. However he tried to shoot enemies (and killed an Orisa) and also tried to hack enemies. So nothing screams throwing to me.
