ya its ridiculous, no reason at all for this to happen, i shouldve gotten diamond rewards and the title, but i got plat rewards and got booted down to gold5

I mean, you aren’t IN the rank you peaked at? I peaked top 291, but I ended the season as gm4 and I got grandmaster challenger title, it’s only fair, no?

I agree. Should be peak rank

I actually quit playing dps once I got masters not because I didn’t think I could go up a bit more but out of fear I would fall to diamond and then not get the rewards and end of season was semi close.

It’s never been peak rank so…

In OW1 the rewards were based on your peak rank.

I think it is to combat the people who derank to bronze for the start of the next season. Seen quite a few throw games at the end of season so they can have fun next season.

Nah. They’d rather you log off in fear of losing rewards instead of actually playing the game for fun.

Yes they installed a 7/20 system to remove the anxiety from winning/losing preventing people from q’ing and instead created a reward system that adds anxiety for q’ing.
