Lifeweaver looks like he’s going to be a high skill ceiling type of hero with low healing, high mobility, decent damage/frag potential, and lots of utility. The question is what other support will he play best with? I paired Lifeweaver with every other support and these are the conclusions I came up with.

i play moira a lot so if i stop trying lightweaver out im pretty sure ill get paired with lightweaver as moira. wonder what that will be like
I think for most players he’s probably going to take an off support role. With how slow the heals seem to look on videos, might be a zen kind of thing where damage going to be a big percentage of the ult generation.
Someone who can keep up a team on their own. Independent tanks and dps who do not need a lot of healing…

I think Lifeweaver works best with Ana, just because he supports Ana the best.
Your analysis is pretty solid. Disagree that Weaver is going to be a solid damage dealer in any pairing. The weapon swap is going to be very clunky and force many players to just using heal.
Think that Ana, Baptiste, Kiriko, and Moira will be best pairings. Pairing with Brigitte, Mercy, Lucio, and Zenyatta will leave the team too low on healing or damage. Unless the team comp is built specifically around that, similar to when you have a Lucio/Zenyatta support line.
I disagree with your assessment of Moira. Moira has no utility, so wouldn’t that be that be the case with every single pairing for her?
Lifeweaver has very high utility. They clearly are discouraging people from using his weapon. Why else would they design it like Mercy? It’s a defensive tool if he gets cornered.
I think moira will be pretty good if you play heavy on the healing and let lifeweaver worry about best utilizing his utility and damage. She’s one of the best for solo healing and has good survivability herself so it gives lifeweaver a lot of flexibility.
I think on certain maps brig could be all right. Personally, I usually have the most healing done in the game when I play brig. It will definitely require good positioning and playing safe from her teammates due to the lack of burst healing, but that’s what lifeweaver is all about. Plus rally can be used offensively to push, so the ult synergy isn’t that bad. But don’t forget she’s getting a new ult!
I think zen is the worst, because their ultimates fill almost the exact same role, and you could not possibly have a lower healing comp. The damage is really high sure, but without great communication and synergy amongst the entire team, it would fall apart really easily.
