What dps hero is good against dive, deathball, bunker, in the most situations on the most maps in general?
In my opinion, it’d either be Genji, Tracer, Soldier 76, or Mccree, because their consistent performances don’t really change depending on enemy team composition.
What do you guys think?

Sombra probably. Just hack everything.

Tracer. A good Tracer will never die, and since Brig got nerfed she doesn’t need to be as careful when hunting supports.

According to the forums it’s Reaper because they died to him as a “tank” that really did nothing but feed.

Most pro players still agree that you should still swap off tracer instantly if they have a brig. Same with genji. Used to be with soldier; not anymore.
I would say mcree. Consistent, good, anti dive but also anti deathball as well.

I would say Hanzo.
I don’t think there are any comps that really ruin his day he is decent against everything

Do they? Is it because Tracer sucks against Brig or because it’s easier to run someone else?
Armor does make Tracer’s life a little harder, but it’s never been the end of the world for her. And since there’s no real punishment for Tracer getting too close to Brig, it’s not hard for Tracer to stand against her. Maybe at the pro level where everyone makes callouts and focuses CC’d targets, it’s more difficult. But on ladder Tracer can pick off supports and harass tanks with impunity. Just switching to Brig isn’t enough anymore.
Armour IS the tracer counter not the stun always has been.

Sombra can counter everything in theory.
But everything can counter her back
Depends on your sr and your own skill, there isn’t really a pick for all situations. Until the newest ptr armor nerf goes through, it definitely isn’t tracer. Genji isn’t the pick if you don’t have an ana to use nanoblade. I would say hanzo is probably the most reliable pick if you can hit your shots. He’s decent against shields and he’s playable against dive. He can hold his own in a duel against any range.
That was going to be my response. Sombra being able to hack pivotal targets integral to all those comps and severely hamstring them (Reinhardt, D.Va, Bastion and Lucio especially, moreso if they end up in the thick of a team fight) can really turn the game on its ear. A good Sombra can be the biggest threat the enemy team can face.
Mei
Burst damage
CC
Very good at peeling
Icewalls are cancerously strong / block enemy widow sight lines, block bunker comps and vantage points (she’s very good on attack if you learn where to wall and how to block off Ana’s sight lines from her team) / wall off Rein’s and other valuable targets, etc
Self Healing / Get out of jail free
AoE Zoning/CC Ult
Primary Fire can’t be stopped by deflect or defense matrix
Good Vertical mobility if you get comfortable with walling on the move
1 Shots Tracer

Shimada brothers.
Tracer can be shut down a lot harder by certain comps and certain decision making by the enemy.
I think Hanzo and Genji (with nano or mercy) are the most comp proof dps.
McCree is up there but he’s still going to suffer against extreme dive or a ton of barriers.
I might put Ashe up there above McCree. I feel like she’s even more flexible than McCree and survives into (full) dive or against shields better than him.

Hanzo. There’s nothing he isn’t good at.
Sombra. She can’t be cornered and given time to setup properly, can counter anything… and anyone.
The caveat tho is that she’s far from the best choice in every individual situation, just that she won’t suck the most in every one.
You getting spawn camped? Sombra can get out, setup somewhere out of the way and harass the supports sustaining the waaay over extended team, of course, your team still has to actually fight the DPS so your contribution that allowed them to finally kill the enemy DPS/Tanks is not going to be noticed.
Goats? Sombra can’t hack or shoot because there’s too much redundancy, kill one healer, the other two keeps healing, hack the tank, the other two covers him. Sombra goes into EMP bot mode instead and build up her EMP, which means she’ll only actually be useful once every every 90s to 2m on a good run. But she’s actually doing something… so don’t report her for throwing just because it doesn’t look like she did anything on the first three push attempts! She’ll give you one chance on the fourth one so don’t start going toxic and break up what little coordination you had! If you screw it up, it’ll be another three fights before she can give you another chance.
Deathball, not quite the same as goats, you use Sombra to get them to spread out. You stall and force some of them to get left behind and trickle into the fight instead. Like the first one tho, you rely on your team winning the 5v4, if they can’t, they’ll be screaming at you and reporting you for throwing… again… because they got wiped out by Doomfist while you were stalling Reinhardt, Mercy and Mei on the other side of the first door in Dorado. (I GAVE YOU A 5v3!!! HOW IS THIS MY FAULT???)
Oh god, i feel like i’m getting ptsd, i’m gonna go play Skyrim for a bit.
Hanzo. High burst, decent mobility, one shots, better than McCree in pretty much every way, less skill intensive than other precision based heroes, decent zoning ult that pairs well with cc.
