I’ve seen so many people over the years furious over the prospect of it returning, some even going as far as to say you are selfishly “exploiting” cancer victims if you point out that it returning could raise more money for the cause.
So let’s get a role call of people mature enough to realize that a skin in a video game should just be something you equip because it looks cool and not some highly exclusive status symbol

I think it’s smart they had a new version, since that makes it so you don’t have a lot of “I already have this!” issues with a sizable percentage on Mercy players.

I have it and I’m glad it’s returning.

Im hoping people will finally stop demanding the skin returns once this one leaves, but lets be real they wont.

I bet the gatekeepers that bought a Pink Mercy account for 300-500 bucks feel so dumb right now

I own one and im fine with it since OG owners at least have something exclusive from it:
Q. Will the original Pink Mercy Twitch Drops be available to collect?
A. The sprays and player icons from the original Twitch Drop promotion will not be earnable during this campaign, but you’ll be able to collect all-new community made cosmetics included in the Rose Gold Mercy Bundle, along with exclusive Twitch Drops starting in Season 11.
What im going to miss is all the forum drama that it has caused (7 years of it btw).

I originally bought the skin in 2018 because someone close to me had suspected breast cancer,I’m very happy that it’s back and we can raise more money for BCRF.

it’ll be the same people complaining that magically missed the promotion period again

I own pink mercy and i’m excited for new players to get their hands on this skin! It’s so unfair to players who missed out!
I’m even excited myself for the other cosmetics like the player icons, sprays and even name cards! I missed out on the older ones since they were twitch drops lmao and i didn’t know what to do to get those!
And i really like how they added a new ver of the skin for us older players probably…Who already got it so we don’t feel left out or something like that.

All my homies have FOMO and breast cancer. Win-win.

Me and my GF both own it and don’t really care for it returning. However we both will get the new bundle when it releases.

I’m a little worried about another point of view: “we won, all those days when we complained about not having it served a purpose, now let’s do it again for everything else”.
I’m pretty happy that 100% of the proceeds are going to charity and there’s also the premise of a new skin (even if it’s actually just a recolor)… but I’m still concerned about the tendencies of this community when creating a previous event in something.

Noire Widowmaker next please? I didn’t got that one.

Me. I have it, and I’m very happy to see it returning- and for all the right reasons! It’s a win for the charity. And I’m happy for all my Mercy main friends who started playing after the previous Pink Mercy campaign will finally have the opportunity to own this skin for themselves.

Exactly! Bringing the original skin back will raise a lot of extra money and that’s great. Gatekeeping an outfit for a video game character is so weird imo

More money for charity is also better, I’m just moreso dissapointed that:
- The Rose Gold recolor isn’t that aesthetically pleasing color scheme wise and doesn’t look that much different. If they’re releasing the original anyways they should have gone more different with the recolor.
- They didn’t update her eyes and eyelash and face textures to her OW2 model which makes the skins seem outdated

Honestly its a good thing, people will complain that you only want the skin, not for the charity, but at the end of the day, charity will raise a bunch of money and that’s what really matters.

I was honestly hoping that the Rose Gold would have different hair,it’s always been my issue with the skin.

100% goes to cancer research, so it doesn’t matter the reason anyone buys it. Blizz makes nothing off it. I wouldn’t buy it if it wasn’t going to breast cancer, personally. I have no idea how this could be considered exploiting breast cancer patients. My aunt is a survivor. I’d also get a diabetes Mercy. My ex and cousin both have diabetes from genetics. I love the idea of charity based skins. It’s really cool.
