I wouldn’t blame D.Va on her personality. For all we know, she has ptsd and puts on this facade to cope. We literally don’t know anything at all about her. We know less about her than any other given hero.

D.Va and Reaper are tied for first with me. D.Va seems like a 7th grade boy’s concept of an ideal girlfriend and Reaper seems like a 7th grade boy’s idea of what a badass villain would be. Both are eyeroll inducing.

Honestly just hearing this just makes me wish that D.va got more lore because aside form one like one voiceline on Eichenwalde of her saying it reminders her of home we don’t really get to see any other emotions for her.

i get what you mean but with retribution i feel reaper has gained a tonne more depth than d.va but i do get what you mean

also on other posts D.va might have PTSD but that is just a theory we create to make it seem like she has some form of depth instead of the least interesting thing since …cant think of anything less interesting

I think the most deep she ever gets is “oh QQ this reminds me of home” on Eichenwalde.

Other than that its just “I’M A GAMUR GURL XDD THIS REMINDS ME OF RETRO GAME #287!”

You misunderstand me. Reyes is great. He’s subtle and has believable motivations and reactions. Reaper, on the other hand, makes throat slitting motions for his highlight intros and yells “die! die! die!” when ulting.

but at least all of them have some depth…d.va has zero depth, even with genji who i have a long time hatred of he has a character act and actually changes while d.va has and always been the vapid airhead

i mean mei who i dont like either has feelings of guilt that are actually shown…d.va has feelings of…god knows, bastion has more depth

She will end up being the same stereotype that those personality always ends up being in stories.

The overconfidence is a show to hide some deep seeded insecurity from her past just like all the other heroes fit their base stereotype for the personalities

oh that makes sense, i really dont like that emote tbh, he still does have some voice lines about him as Reyes(like when either ana or mercy askes what happened to him) but most interesting things about him does relate to Reyes

I think it’s just personal preference. I’ve always loved characters with exaggerated, obnoxious personalities so I love D.Va, Junkrat, and Reaper.

Personally, I find Pharah’s personality or lack there of very cringey. She’s the worst one for me. Hate her voice lines. She’s just so bland. For me, that’s what’s cringey.

However, I would definitely love for D.Va to get some lore though to round out her character and add depth to it. I can definitely get why some people can’t relate to her.
