In my opinion I’d say that Pharah is the most balanced Offence hero. Her damage output is good but comes at the cost of aiming a ranged projectile whilst being in the sky, easy pickings for the enemy hitscan. Sombra would be my second go to as her abilities are all dependent on the competence of her player, which when used wisely seem to be OP haha. Reaper is fairly balanced but I still believe he needs QoL changes, I’m on console so I haven’t been able to try out his buffs but I’m looking forward to it. Mccree and Soldier are somewhat balanced, I just have some issues with Flashbang range and Helix Rockets. Genji and Tracer are my only issue, on the basis they are completely balanced but I believe their damage output at range overcompensated their role as close range flankers. Tracer needs damage fall off in my option, similarly to Soldier’s and Genji’s Swiftstrike is just awful haha. Doomfist is helpless, he’s unbalanced for sure but I’m really not sure how to solve his problems.
Widowmaker is the most balanced defence hero, I really believe she may be the most balanced hero in the game after she got her hook cd buff. The new changes coming to Mei and Hanzo will even them out imo and overall they will become more balanced. Thank god scatter is going!!! Torbjorn and Bastion need QoL changes to be more appropriately balanced as they either seem too strong or too weak. Junkrat is one of the most unbalanced heroes in the game, I hate him with all of my life. I want self damage from Rip-tire again and maybe a bigger damage falloff on grenades that do not explode on impact.
Winston is the most balanced Tank hero. His abilities, HP and role as Main Tank is compensated by his crap damage. I think Tanks are the most balanced class but some are more balanced than others. Reinhardt, Zarya, Orisa and Roadhog are fairly balanced but they require QoL changes to really boost them into a more balanced state. Zarya needs it more than the other three, with her it’s a fundemental problem about her kit and also the prevelance of D.va. D.va is the most unbalanced tank but she isn’t the most unbalanced hero in the game, I’m really not sure what changes would balance her out but the upcoming rocket damage nerf may be in the right direction. Reclaiming her tanking role over dps hybrid would be better suited for D.va in my opinion in regards to her overall balance.
and Moira is the most balanced Support. Ana, Lucio and Mercy need some QoL changes. Zenyatta’s slight nerf will somewhat balance him, he’s joint second in balance with Brigette imho; she has very strong abilities that are balanced when taking into consideration her close range. My beloved Symmetra is just a dumpster fire at the moment lol, hopefully her second rework will assist in her balancing.
Here are just my ideas! I’m sure not everyone will agree with me but feel free to share your own opinions on this matter! Balance is a very important aspect to a game like Overwatch and I’m sure as the game develops and new heroes are released the heroes that exist now that are in an ‘unbalanced’ state may be changed in order to balance the game for the better
Rein from tank, Mercy from healer, genji from dps.

Offense: Soldier.
Defense: Tie between Widow and Junk. Though I think both could use some very minor changes, both have very clear strengths and weaknesses that tend to balance out.
Tank: Roadhog. Works well in some situations, doesn’t work well in others. Strengths, weaknesses, pretty good.
Healer: Zen. No questions asked.

I feel like D.Va is the most balanced character in the game. Not her fault all of the other tanks are sub optimal 70% of the time. Next up is Genji which is strange because his kit seems overloaded but requires finesse to get the most out of it. Out of the healers i feel like there isn’t really a healer that is a must pick 100 percent of the time, but the most consistently good one happens to be Lucio. good balance between healing and damage output if you have the aim
I see what you did there.
Careful, people may report you for trolling, the hate is that real.

Lol, I been banned twice, I ain’t afraid to go down for a third.
tank: orisa
offense: soldier
defense: everyone either under or overperforming
support: zen
Offense: Tracer, whine all you want, does kot change the fact that one mistake with her and you’re dead.
Def: Widow, like any sniper you either are good with it or bad, no middle ground.
Tank: Zarya, rewards good reflexes game sense and aim, is not a overabundant on barriers nor autoaim and can DPS if you manage well her charge.
Supp: Zen, not a healbot nor easy prey if you can aim, if you are giid with callouts everything dies in instants.

Offense: Soldier - He’s mobile, he’s great at “leading the charge”, and yet he’s not overly powerful to where defense isn’t afraid to engage him.
Defense: Junkrat - I’d say he’s the definition of what a defense hero should be. He’s great at controlling a zone by making attackers wary about going to go certain areas, but isn’t that great necessarily at leading a charge.
Tank: Rein/Orisa - Great at soaking damage for their team, and can deal some legitimate damage, but if a team is not utilizing them properly, things can quickly go south.

Soldier, Widow, Reinhard and Lucio
Offense - Reaper
Defense - Junkrat
Tank - Roadhog
Support - Moira
Soldier is most balanced in offense. Viable but not OP in all rank. Pharah is OP silver to plat, underpowered master+.
Defense: Tough one. Junkrat is OP in low rank. Widow is weak in low rank. Everyone else sucks.
Tank: Roadhog. Viable in all ranks. Not a must have unlike the 2 dive tank or shield tank. That is balanced to me.
Support: Lucio. He is kinda leaning to weak compared to Zen, but a good Lucio is viable in all ranks, and he can be pretty fun.
Offense: Soldier
Defense: I guess widow since the rest of them are considered hot trash
Tank: Zarya
Support: Zenyatta

I was ok pharah is pretty balanced, then you said you play on concole and I loled.
Pharah is the most broken hero on concole.
Offence: Tracer. She defines what balanced is at large.
Defence: Junkrat. He’s a fairly versatile hero nowadays. He’s a good choice for what he does.
Tank: Orisa. Has a niche, does it well, but yet isn’t mandatory nor is she ever a hugely weak pick.
Support: Lucio. He’s sat at a good but not oppressive or mandatory seat ever since the rework.

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
no. Pharah is actually JUST AS FACEROLL as JUNKRAT
Tracer, Soldier 76 and McCree are the picture of balance. I’d say Reaper too, but he’s about to be imba AF.
defense: no one cares about cheese heroes
tank: winston & zarya. reinhardt’s 1.5s and mile long earthshatter is one of the most broken things in the game, change my mind.
support: zenyatta & ana. resurrection is a broken ability that doesn’t belong in the game. i think people also underestimate how much mercy heals for requiring no skill to play when they claim she is balanced.
she really isn’t lol, I’m a master rank and I understand how the game plays. Funnily enough I play against people with m+kb so I know the difficulty of playing pharah
Don’t demean me because I play on console pls
I was a console master player until season 5 I think. M+kb was a gm only problem I believe, And pharah was flooding the game back then.
^^ was talking about my experience.
Every single game, had a pharah mercy duo.
Offence: Soldier - He’s versatile, good at what he does, but everything he pulls off seems earned. He can decimate a team with his ult, but there’s plenty of room for the damage to be minimized if the team spots him.
Defence: Widowmaker - I guess? The whole category is kinda left in the dust right now…any good Defence Hero is situational at best, moreso than any other role. Junkrat and Hanzo are capable but feel cheap more often than not. Widow varies wildly in how good she is based purely on who plays her, but that also means she’s not innately too powerful or too weak (boring Ultimate though).
Tank: Orisa - Honestly, this is process of elimination. She’s capable, she can take a hit (as a tank should), she basically does everything her sub-role is meant for just fine without being overbearing for it. But more importantly, every other Tank has issues that leave them lopsided.
Support: Moira - Controversial opinion, but outside of too much self healing, I think she’s in a good spot. She needs good game sense, benefits a lot from good accuracy, and can carry herself appropriately for her second-rate (albeit broad) raw attributes. Lucio is taking a bit of beating lately, and Zenyatta still feels like a poor choice of healer to me personally, but I can see an argument for either of them instead.
