The game has gone downhill since it came because way too much resource has been put on it. Now the game is balanced around the pro players and we seldom get new and exciting content, unlike before OWL. I mean we haven’t gotten a new event game mode since Mei’s Yeti Hunt. Everything is so stale and I blame it on OWL.

In the OWL game is balanced around pros but in soloqueue game is balanced around noob characters like mei,torb,bastion,brig,symm,reaper . You think why these characters only get buffs? They want to attract more players this way but in return they only drive good players away. Not only that noob community is always going to complain how weak their heroes are because they can’t w+m1 all 6 heroes on their team or being actually counterable. They are doing it for years now and i bet if they did OW classic like they are doing with WOW(although i’m sure they will find some way to mess that up too) nobody would play the current version of overwatch.

I personally can not watch more than one match. It’s seems like it is always mirror matches. Do you like the atmosphere the show gives off?

Successful games eventually will have an Esport. Activision doesnt understand it and they leeched the core game for money.

If you don’t like the core game, and that is not enough, then its the wrong game for you. Events are like extras that people get bored with in like an hour… I’d rather them not waste time on them and make something more substantial like a new archives event every 6 mos. or so.

Personally I just really enjoy the tournament atmosphere. The casters and production quality of the OWL are top notch.
I wish the game adopted features like Hero Bans to make comps a little less stagnant, but even with mirror matches, each team still has pretty huge differences in how they play.
You’ve got some teams that rely on their Reinhardt being more aggressive than others and you’ve got some teams that rely on their Zarya or Zen being top notch and you’ve got some teams (like Chengdu) who just kinda do what they want.

The only thing I hate was the rework done to sym to make her more “viable” they essentially just removed a character and put a new one in their place.

Didn’t they just make some of the cameras for the commentators to view? And will eventually be making its way as content for us.
Atm theres probably no recourse at all working on it. It’s all outsourced to another team.

This had absolutely nothing to do with the OWL. This was then realising she had the worst pick and win rate, generally hated by everyone, people abused her ult by putting in on a cliff and couldn’t ever be played on attack. And the reason why Trob and Sym got changes was so they could more easily be played on attack.

I love OWL. If it wasn’t created and we only had tournaments like APEX, I probably wouldn’t be interested in the Esports scene of Overwatch. But the high level of quality the OWL delivers, both in the speakers, the strategies, the players and the teams, takes it all to a different level. I don’t think Overwatch would survive very long on events and PvE content alone, because it wasn’t designed for that to begin with. If anything, I’d much rather see a focus being put on guild support and in-game tournaments.

The rework is heavily teamwork focused because of tp alone. Where do you find the most team coordination owl.
They were definitely reworking sym with hopes that highly coordinated teams would use her

They litterally said multiple times throughout the year that they were surprised people mained hero’s and that why they made an effort to make hero’s work on both attack and defence. Hence also tor Trob rework.

Then why didn’t they just release the turret change that was good. Instead they removed most of her areal denial tools and replaced them with tp
The turret change gave her the ability to be offensive with turret placement

I meh OW. I know it may or may not exist and I don’t really care either way. I used to let it stream to get drops, but I don’t do that anymore.
Everything about OWL is fake and disgusting. People who support it should step back and evaluate themselves. Why support the biggest parasite of Overwatch? It’s the reason the game has become so stale and frustrating.
