Who do you think is in the most dire need of a buff?

Baahahahh you think hes the best dps in the game in low ranks when hes not even in the top 15 most picked heroes lmfao thanks for thr joke you shouldnt even balance around bronze console players anyway

Good for you mate…

Bastion, then Reaper.
While I love me some reaping, the latest changes to him made him a lot more bearable to play. I just want Bastion to get something, then they can go back to Reaper.

Roadhog. Buffing Bastion or Reaper won’t improve the meta, but buffing hog will.

Buffs: Reaper, Sym, Mercy

Reworks: Bastion

IMO. Bastion needs a straight up rework.

I agree. Bastion needs a rework. His kit makes no sense within the game. Characters that are immobile have significant disadvantages.

Bastion for a rework.

General buffs to Reaper

Adjustments to abilities/kit, Symm and McCree

I think the current changes might need a week or so to see for some of the heros.

Brig’s changes might help some of the heros that are doing poorly.

You also have the question of what skill level you want the changes to be for.

Sombra appears fine in Contendors/OWWC last I looked but she has the absolute worse winrate in the game overall. If you are balancing for the average player she probably needs a buff worst.

Additionally, you have the question of how situational you feel heros can be without it being a problem.

Bastion. A hero that can’t move is the worst designed thing in any game I’ve ever seen.

Bastion for sure.

I’ll prob get a lot of flak for this, but I dont think Reaper should be a priority. People keep giving him this “tank buster” title when hes more or less useful as a flanker that can tele in, pick off healers in the back, wraith form out, and then repeat.

Bastion doesn’t need a full rework, he just needs a small one. Mostly a revert more than anything… His Sentry mode worked fine before his rework, there was no reason at all to change it. He just needs to go back to that, but keep the parts of his rework that Bastion players wanted (the Recon and Self-repair changes). Before his rework, Bastion players would have to move around a lot more often, or else the enemy would catch on and kill him, which is how he should play.

Everyone keeps thinking that staying still is the worst thing ever, and that’s why he’s never played, but it’s not. Widowmaker stands mostly still while shooting, and she’s still fine.

The problem with Bastion’s immobility is the fact that he has to stay still for too long to get a kill. With his spread being where it’s at, he barely does any damage at any respectable range, and since he can’t move once set up, he can’t move closer to the enemies to negate that spread. Imagine trying to play Tracer, but you have to stay behind your tanks, it’s not going to work… If they want to keep his damage lower than it was before, then it would make much more sense to reduce the base damage, but keep headshots and his spread pattern. Then probably add some bonus damage to barriers to keep him where he’s at with that.

Then, when you take Ironclad into account, the player is encouraged even more to never move. If you have a passive damage resistance in Sentry mode, why would you leave Sentry mode? Ironclad needs to either be removed, or be changed in a way that it can affect all of his modes. Passive damage resistance should probably go as well, it was a decent solution when it was first introduced, but it’s caused way more problems than it’s solved.

TL;DR
Bastion’s immobility isn’t the problem, the problem is that he’s encouraged to stay immobile for too long via his extremely large spread and Ironclad.

In order:

Bastion needs a rework/buffs the most. Leaning towards rework.

Reaper needs some buffing/tweaking. Mostly to his shadowstep (lower voiceline and voiceline range. Make it quicker). A fixed spread to his shotgun and possibly lowering the spread a bit. And he would really benefit from a new ability on his secondary fire button (smoke grenade possibly?). He needs more utility to make him, him, so you speak. Really make him a true brawler/flanker hybrid like he was seemingly always intended to be.

Roadhog could use some tweaking and added utility to further fill his tanking role. Something along the lines of: Take a Breather helps teammates in a radius around him, a la damage reduction for his allies while Roadhog is using it. Possibly have that effect linger for a few seconds?

Sym could use a bit. Possibly give her her projected photon barrier back? Or give her a bit more shielded HP? Also possibly give her primary fire a bit more range, even possibly give it a mild lock on ability similar to Moira’s primary fire?

Mercy could use something. Not exactly sure what as I don’t really play her to have a legitimate say.

personally i’d say hammond is the one that needs a buff.

Not too much though. I’d say give him around 20 more ammunition per round. That should be a decent change.

I don’t think Bastion needs buffing at all. He’s one of those heroes that becomes absurd with the smallest of changes.

Most heroes are in a good spot. I’d probably give some ability tweaks to McCree and Reaper though.

He shreds tanks fine. His armor shredding is just overlooked because of Brig.

I’d say that the problem there is that shadowstep is increasingly difficult to use the higher you climb in ranked. It’s still so loud and long that it makes it difficult to use properly depending on the rank and game situation. But I think tweaking it would really help him in that flanking role, and I highly support that (by lowering the voiceline/voiceline range and reducing the cast time)
