Who can I speak to, about CoC violations, at blizzard?

I get abused, harassed and also falsely reported a lot. All of this happens in comp, at a high level of play.

Who can I speak with about Code of Conduct violations as I have tried support and they’ve only been able to do something once. Every other GameMaster told me to just use the report feature but I don’t feel like that really has the effect to actually do anything for that player.

Further more, what actions are being taken when someone is receiving a violation? Are the action hardware ID based (to remove repeat offenses on other accounts)?

I’d love to say this works but sadly they seem to get unmuted when I next play with/against them.

And when its high level there is a big chance you get the same player on your or the enemy team many times.

I totally feel you. I am a Mercy main and I get abused on a daily basis. I needed to make 2 more smurfs to be able to play different heroes and I completely avoid touching Mercy on those accounts. I got the same rank on other supports on that account and I completely ignore talking as well as I have a very high pitched annoying voice and I dont want to spend half of the game on people making fun of me - instead of focusing on the freaking game…

I feel that I get a lot of abuse and as I use reporting frequently I feel your problem. I see no freaking change on the community. Look at league of legends. There I could feel the community changing. And now I reached a point where I left League cause of stupid community went to Overwatch and now Overwatch has the same exact or even worse thing going on…

On the forums as well. This is the best example. I see a lot of people calling people many things and mentally abusing others and these people do not get banned or muted. But normal forum posters who talk about topics in a very human manner get banned :slight_smile: This is one part of the game that makes me want to play less and less.

On the code of conduct. This is a funny topic because it is for the gamers. You can keep reporting people but there might never be a penalizing action behind that report. And you know what I learned as an Auditor?

A measure of the cohesion and professionalism of an organization is the degree of voluntary compliance with its adopted code.”…“shall be worded that it would earn public confidence”…“To be effective the code must provide for disciplinary action for violators”…

Now based on this do you feel that Overwatch has established a compliant organization. Because for me sure as hell did not!

I think your game is broken, when I mute people (I do it all the time) they stay muted in upcoming matches. I see people all the time that I have muted before.

I don’t talk in chat or in text, it just never does anything productive. They just scream louder…

Yeah, I agree. Its like a kindergarden. Don’t know maybe blizzard just did not want to target my age gap. Maybe this game is designed fro age from 10-20 or something. Dunno.

to bad the system encourages multiple accounts

and punishments are account only so

everyone has 3 to 5 accounts now

they don’t want to fix this they want more alts sold as they continue this crapfest
