MEKA is all named characters with distinct designs, and you can even see all their mechs in Busan. Lotta room there for something cool there like a drone based support hero or maybe an anti-dva type hero where you primarily play as a strong pilot but occasionally call in the mech to cause havoc for a short time. Even another tank would be cool. D.va’s always been a fan favorite, people have wanted another one of these in the game since they were revealed
The new Phreaks also are all named, but some of them seem like noncombatants. Boomslang, the girl with the nose piercing, seems pretty standout though, like she was the most prominent other than Hazard in both the trailer and the comic shooting right alongside him in both. Only real issue is she seems to just have a generic gun.
The Yokai, Kiriko’s gang, are all unnamed and I think only seen in one piece of fanart, but hey Kiriko is Kiriko and they all had some pretty unique designs so I’d still say its plausible. One of them is a mole and another is a turtle, and we just got a mole and turtle, so they seem unlikely, but the swan girl and the masked girl both look like they could recapture some of that kiriko skin sales magic and also have potentially cool weapons, fans and an umbrella respectively
Then there are some of the less likely ones like Los Muertos. All the guys we’ve seen from here have been total jobbers, but you never know I wasn’t expecting another Vishkar hero so anything can happen
I always wanted Sanjay from Vishkar to represent Vishkar and Talon’s connection while also having obvious lore/interactions with Symmetra, Lucio, Talon cast, and now also Lifeweaver. His control over Hard Light himself or the tech could lead easily to a kit for any role. Hard light suit or evil light bender support to join Moira’s evil are my faves.
Every member of Yokai has a better design than Kiriko. Only the Oni guy would of likely been a worse pick than her cause he looks like a Genji skin… but he still looks cooler than her. I wouldn’t mind the fan or umbrella wielding gals, could be really unique weapons as well. The other two guys look cool to, but it’s hard to want more from Japan with them already at three reps.
Phreaks are probably too new to get anything for awhile. Part of me ponders if the augmentation lady is secretly evil/connections with Moira as she seems to have a very similar habit of pushing boundaries to the max. Overall I think most of them could work if given a exciting weapon, the Omnic lady could take the hacking support Sombra kit people been asking for since she does seem more of the caring type.
Always liked the look of Los Muertos members with the glowing skeleton paint and felt it could use a better rep than kind of Sombra cause she’s way more Talon/Solo than them. I kind of doubt they’d do someone from it though, to avoid shoving both heroes from Mexico into a gang.
MEKA has some cool mechs like Casino or Overlord’s but I think they aren’t the most likely cause of the work load. With LW’s teasers, I was expecting DVA’s mechanic and kind of hyped myself up on the idea of him joining in similar light to Brig for Rein. Whoever they pick if they do one will leave people upset since it’s not very likely we’d see another member for a long time if we got a 2nd.
I’d like to get Emre to finish the old photo tbh, just a milestone.
Overall I’d say none feel super likely with Meka or Vishkar being the ones I’d think are a little bit more likely.

Problem with heros abilities and how they affect balance of the game. With each hero they have to double work on balance
I highly doubt we’ll ever see anything from MEKA again. From what I hear, D.Va is a coding nightmare, and if the forums are to be believed, a balance nightmare. In a perfect world, they’d add D.Mon, a character with an established design, deep lore with a legacy hero, and a niche to fill (hypercompetitive sourpuss with a sharp tongue, I’d imagine). Instead, we get… a man in a vest.
So, to answer your question, probably Junkers.
Yeah i want more meka heroes too. Overlord or Dae-hyun as a support or Dmon as a tank
A vishkar tank as we have a dps and support
For the yokai gang i like the look of the blue bird girl with the fan
If we do get another junker then id love to have meri from JQ’s short added. A junker support would be cool too.

Maybe more characters from Horizon Lunar Colony. I wonder what the animals that are still there are up to?
