Torbjorn. I know that he’s pretty much never been a “meta” pick as far as I know, I used to pick him and immediately get shouted at by teammates, but I just find this character so interesting, both storywise and gameplay wise, I love his high damage long range projectiles that can become tank-busting shotgun blasts up close, killing a roadhog with that shotgun is still so satisfying
Tbh? Any hero but widow… It’s just me and such a high zoom plus charge for lethal damage+ latency
Doesn’t feel good
Hanzo is almost off the list, but at least with him I can still fire the arrow Early for Max damage
Honestly, I will always play my main no matter how bad they are. But I definitely do not want them to be bad.
D.Va is that hero for me. No matter what, she’ll always be my go-to tank.
Now on Support which is my second most played role (pretty close to tank honestly), I am a bit more flexible. But I still love playing Kiriko and Juno. But I do play other heroes in that role that I enjoy more. With tanks, I really don’t enjoy most other tanks. I play them but if I’m not on D.Va then I’m having less fun.
Sombra, oh wait she is pretty much perma banned from anything but arcade.
I played our grippy king on day one of his comp release, and I will continue to play our grippy king no matter how much they giga-nerf him.
Pretty much any of them. A hero’s viability/state in the meta is not something I ever even consider when choosing whether or not I want to play them.
ive stuck with genji through thick and thin, feast and famine, buffs and nerfs
“only the strong survive”
I think this is such a good way to play, and I try to do this too, I don’t think i’ve ever specifically played a hero because they’re good or meta
I will always at least try to play Mei if I manage to get DPS.
But I will not force a noticeably dumpstered character on my team for a whole game.
Illari, she is my always reliable
I never stopped trying Symmetra and I sure won’t stop now. Just like with everyone else.
This is probably my bias talking, but I’ve always thought that Torb has sat somewhere in A tier for years.
I haven’t had anyone say to me, “Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, ACKTUALLY, you shouldn’t play Torbjorn on attack. By, uh, my calculations, you’re throwing” since, ooo, sometime in OW1? He might not be meta but Torb is as solid as they come, imo.
Reaper. Stuck with him through the bad times and will continue to do so.
Has some real sick skins, nice voicelines, and an ult that feels nice. It’s immensly satisfying doing a 5 man wipe with a blossom (even more so when nano’d). And solo ulting on Mercy or Mei players is equally satisfying.
And more importantly with Reaper-aura
My Torbjorn winrate is high ~65% or so. I don’t understand why exactly because I don’t remember constantly overperforming when playing him. I rarely play him too but whenever I look back on my stats, the winrate remains high.
Maybe his kit is just consistent. Consistent damage, area denial, and angles of attack.
I’m bronze rank so it may just be people in my rank don’t know how to play around Torb and his strengths, but it is always very funny at the end of a match where one side goes “well, we won even with torb throwing” while the other side goes “torb is so op blizz remove this character”
sojourn, no hero can give me what she gives me. good ult nice movement and a lethal secondary fire that actually kills something. i just like her. no matter how much they nerf her, i will play her. until something better comes around the corner that feels similar, wich i doubt we will see.
Carry on ignoring all of that. Torb number one.
Depends on how bad. I ain’t playing Zenyatta if they give him 225hp, 10% discord orb, 20 damage orbs
There’s going to be so many Torbs running amok with the new Hammertime perk for Seaosn 18…it’s going to be scary
Reaper. I know, shocking revelation for those who know me.
As much as I would like to have an enjoyable time, no other character provides me as much satisfaction as Reaper does (even though those satisfying moments are rare with how this character is balanced).
