Which hero to start my kid out on?

12 years old and has some motor skill issues. I want to suggest a hero that really simplifies the game, takes minimal skill and rewards the player even though they’re not very good at any phase of the game. Who fits these needs?

Already tired Genji but that didn’t work out. Too hard. Even Winston was hard.

Brigitte and Moira come to mind first but idk what you guys think. Junkrat? Who else is for 12 year old handicapped kids lacking in skill?

Thanks.

Symmetra. Teach him the powers of the dark side. Let the rage and fury of his teammates fuel his conquests and take over the ladder by storm.

This feels like a pretty loaded question… Let them play Tracer and see where they go.

A team will always welcome a Reinhardt

Your son will be able to deliver a pivotal role within the team without needing to aim too much

Tbh just go with what role he likes does he like DPS or TANKS or SUPPORTS then start with the easier heroes in those roles I’m a kid but I’m in masters as a tank main

Hanzo. With the quantity of bad Hanzos out there, no one will notice.

Thats clearly bait lol-

Mercy, Reinhardt, Roadhog if he wants to be more damaged oriented. And Symmetra.

Any hero…

soldier, simple, while if you want to get really good at him it takes good aim, he is a good hero for people who need the handicaps, he has self healing, and helix rocket for a lot of burst damage, not to mention his ult is auto aim.

most of the tanks are a pretty good for someone with low motor skills.

put him in the practice range and tell him about the heroes. not necessarily gameplay as much as lore. as lore is the main reason i play rein and its very interesting. make it fun and exciting for him.

Hey! It’s cool you’re letting your kiddo try out Overwatch! OW is super forgiving for all types of gamers, so I believe this is a great choice.

Some people may say Junkrat, which I don’t disagree with, so I would try him out. I actually would NOT suggest Reinhardt right away because you actually need a ton of awareness to play him well, and I truthfully don’t think he’s an easy tank to pick up right away.

You also have Torbjorn and Symmetra that will be good picks, as well as Mercy.

Winston too, but Winston, like Reinhardt, still requires some pretty good economy management and is not easy to pick up right away. Hopefully this all helps!

Genji, hands down. You’d be doing him a disservice by not suggesting to him this incredibly easy “hero”

Based off of this post you made earlier I have to say your post here is a bait topic.

Let him play Brigitte. He’ll be GM in a week.

I would say to let him play to what we appeals to then go from there

Hmm Mercy for sure

Nah, I would say let him find one he thinks looks cool and let him play that character. If he doesn’t like it then he can choose a different one. There are a lot of options, I wouldn’t say its fair if you choose which character he could play.
