Which hero has the most counters?

Just curious, cause I feel like some heros have less counters than others.
Personally I think genji has a decent amount of counters. Like a team could go Zarya, mei, symm, moira and lucio to make his life hell.

What do you guys think?

In OW1 I would’ve said Bastion (definitely not biased), but now, I think I’d have to say Genji. Not necessarily a lot of hard counters, just that a lot of heroes have a favorable match up against him.

Genji so far, if you think about it you can shutdown genji with almost whatever

Low skill Genji’s in low tiers, sure, but otherwise, not so much.

He counters any projectile hero in the game, like, literally counter them.

The only way to shut down a Genji, is from behind or by using beam weapons. Projectile weapons don’t work on him due to his reflect ability.

If anyone’s got a ton of counters against them, it’s Junk…

Doom. His counter is to see him on your screen

Doomfist.
Brig can literally hand-deliver a death sentence to him by shield bashing into his punch, even if it’s empowered.

Symmetra still has the problem of being countered by the enemy having basic awareness, team synergy and moderately competent healers.
The only favorable match up she has is against Sombra but even then its not an advantageous one.

Widow has the most counters.
The issue is some maps have extremely long sightlines that do favor her too much.

Tracer, Hog, Ball perhaps?

People saying genji. Mobility is the most important part of this game.

A good genji chooses when to engage and when to escape. He doesn’t have many counters.

You can only look at low SR in relation to this question as playing as a team win games.

The answer is Zen. He has the most counters having no mobility skill and no skills to protect himself, other than kick.

All dive, flank and hitscan heroes counter a zen unless his team protects him.

genji`s only counters are Zarya beam at max charge, Ashe and junk explosives aoe (well placed dynamite and mines) that he can’t deflect and to an extent moira beam if he is not pocketed. That’s it. It’s not much counters when you think about it

Other stuff that means he slightly needs to put more effort to farm kills doesn’t mean that it counters him

Back to original question, Cassidy has plenty of counters. even his competition, the other hitscans, counter him to an extent, having more range and better abilities.

Less Tank coverage means that she has a better chance maintaining her turrets and getting value out of them though. I would say shes areound mid tier now.

Mmmm I’m gonna have to disagree with this one.
I’ll say the main Zen counters are genji and tracer. Everyone else can die to Zen.

He’s the most killable support because he has the highest dmg potential. It’s a matter of balancing.

DPS wise:

Cree. Very bulky hitbox, not much mobility, AD spam is not as effective due to size. goes down extremely easily if he doesn’t get pocketed. All other hitscans and Hanzo annihilate him.

Genji too is a contestant

Doomfist. So much stuff can screw him over easily, would say Mercy or Ramattra… However, Mercy’s movement is still on a relatively low CD and relies on teammate’s position usually and Ramattra has the ability to give himself armor HP, so he can live more likely than a Doomfist would.

Takes a high skill level to counter the counter heroes back as a Doomfist, otherwise typically the Doomfist is dead on the spot unless the enemy team forgot to keep track of him like in OW1.

Hanzo, whenever you face a hanzo, everyone you face towards him has a 50/50 chance of winning the fight or dying. It comes down to a legitimate duel and best player wins. Nothing hard counters a hanzo but hanzo doesn’t really hard counter anyone either. Thats what I call balanced.

Pharah

Also worth mentioning THREE entire separate autoaim hitscan ults that are free “kill pharah” buttons every time
