Which healer is the most fun to play?

In your own terms and words, explain which healer you think is genuinely the most fun to play.

I am going to grade everyone’s replies like homework based off the sheer depth you give me

Her voice actress is really talented. Great voice.

Mercy is still my favorite. Beautiful elegant woman voicing a beautiful elegant character.

Moira.
You have the power, you don´t need your clumsy dps to protect you - you can do whatever and get away with it + you can beat annoyance like Sombra, Genji…specialy Genji xD

Support generally is not the funniest role tbh, but looks like Ana trully enjoys her meta status

Zen - because fragging out is fun.

Brig - because i like saving teammates
Lw - same as brig

Ana - hitting sleeps feels great

Bap - same as zen
Illy - same as zen

Thats the fun ones for me.

Juno or Mercy. I like zoomies, and that kinda is their whole shtick.
I should really just commit to learning to wallride good so I could add Lucio to that list. I play too much Floorcio for him to be really fun to me, but he’s got super solid movement available and was my introduction and hook into playing Support in general so I kinda owe him the investment to learn.
Plus his rollouts are cool, just point blank.

Illari. According to the forums she is literally Ashe moved to the support role completely unchanged and then given healing. 12/10.

For me, its Juno.

When I was a teen, I used to play a futuristic racing game called Wipeout. It was my favorite racing game at the time and played it for hours and hours! Juno is the Martian-Human personification of Wipeout and I love it! The way she heals thru hyper-mobility is super fun! The challenge of having no self-healing but two methods of quick, gliding movement makes her gameplay fun and challenging. Her Glide Boots make me feel like I am piloting a UFO. I have deep knowledge of UFOlogy so this hovering ability feels very natural and special to me :flying_saucer: And then there’s Juno’s Ultimate. Back in OW1, Orisa’s Amplifying Damage Pylon Ult was one of my favorites in the whole game. It really made you consider your team, where they were and if they were ready to attack. Juno’s Ult is like redemption for the reworking of Orisa’s Ult. And with healing abilities perfectly intertwined with amplified damaging energy, the Orbital Ray is one of the most powerful Ults in the game! :artificial_satellite: :sunny::woman_astronaut:

My other favorite is Illari. Illari has a beam rifle that can heal! Very unique ability for a precision weapon. And her Healing Pylon is quite unique too. You have to be extra careful where its placed, when its placed and if its about to be destroyed or not. I love destroying it on purpose before the enemy does for repositioning. Its a great feeling to get that timing just right. And her evasion ability can help her get away, push enemies away (even off the map) and it does damage too. Such an awesome ability to have. But my favorite part of Illari is her Ultimate. When I activate her Ult and she rises up into the sky, it truly makes you feel like I am a Superhero. Watch out for D.Va’s and Sigma’s thou! Careful launching of DBZ-like Captive Sun is critical to hitting multiple players on the other team. Then you have the other team sunbursted, you have a short amount of time to shoot them again with your rifle to cause a powerful Solar Chain Reaction. Not an easy task but I love to face the challenge. Illari lights up my Fire! :sun_with_face: :gun: :yellow_heart:

I do not want to beat a dead horse, but none of the supports are particularly fun with the current state of Sombra. Kiriko wins by default just because she is la chancla.

Prior to season 9 Ana for sure. Hitting 3-taps felt rewarding, your healing felt impactful and sleeping an ult is always great. Nade kinda mid, but meh (inb4 someone can’t read: this is about feeling, I know nade is strong af).

Now, though… idk. Hitting shots doesn’t feel rewarding since it’s become so easy, there’s no 3-tap anymore and healing feels like spraying aspirin water on someone. Sleep is still cool, I guess.

Now it’s Bap, but a far cry from pre-S9 Ana. Not enough to keep me playing anyway.

Finally someone who suffers from the same issue I do. It’s CRAZY how nobody talks about this because they are so desperate for the boost.

Hitting shots on Rein hasn’t become easier or harder though.

if all you’re doing is shooting Rein you have other issues to overcome

Though I guess in some way you’re spitting truths. The more important it is to shoot tanks the less rewarding hits become in general because your main target is, well, a tank.

I am playing Reinhardt BECAUSE there is no more dopamine from launching mangoes at everyone. It’s such a joke. Headshot after headshot, but which ones would I have actually landed if they did not turn this game into Splatoon? The world may never know.

It’s been nice though. I always just sort of enjoyed aiming which is why I played a ludicrous amount of hitscan. But now that it brings me no satisfaction, I can enjoy the finer things in life. That’s Reinhardt. Reinhardt is the finer things in life.
