Seriously, aren’t Bunkers and other less mobile comps supposed to be his natural habitat?
It’s almost like IF isn’t really that valuable in comparison to antinade for bunker.
Also what’s messed up is that, honestly, baptiste should be coping better with double barrier than Ana. He should be more viable than Ana. But in a meta that pretty much completely hard counters Ana, she has the gall to still be picked quite often.
Well, denying a whole role for 4 second with a 10 second ability is too good to be unviable. I’m fine with Ana, but her nade needs a serious adjustment. Like, double the received healing (ally) and halven the healing received (enemy) will be so much better.
Well he’s fairly weak to Doomfist, Reaper and Mei altogether. Not to mention they can all force out the IF on command because his self heal is pretty bad.
Moira can fade out of range of all those heroes and use her damage orbs to build ult charge quickly in double barrier meta.
He just gets farmed by Doomfist, at least Ana can get a Sleep Dart off and run like hell. Also people WAY over value IF, it’s like the worst Winston bubble ever - you could drop that thing to a 13 second cooldown too and it would still suck.
Every time I see the Immortality Drone come out, I pop an ice wall to block its line of sight. Quite a few Baptiste players are caught off guard from that tactic.
I would imagine that he would find a bit more play in the double shield or bunker comp metas if he was actually a main healer. He’s an off-healer who can’t provide the same healing power as Ana or Mercy. he’s still good, to be sure, but it takes more effort for him to heal his teammates.
Yeah…Baptiste is weak,IF is weak…buff it…yes…
But let’s ask ourselves if we are ready for a sledgehammer nerf after we get a minor buff?
well he has to aim so therefore must be trashed according to the ow rule book.
nerfing a low win rate hero with no compensation buff is pepega.
I think Baptiste’s issues are Doomfist (knocks people out of his IF, difficult to heal people with nades when they are thrown around in all angles) and the fact that his nade hit-boxes to me seems a bit wonky. They could probably increase their travel time a bit to make him more consistent. His regeneration, while needed for himself, is also kinda meh as a whole for his team. And that damn ult is mindnumbingly boring to use and very situational to get good value out of compared to the other main supports.

Baptiste is used to break shields, you can’t break two shields so Moira and Lucio are played to run past them
I both see him and play him all the time?
Also I understand IF’s place in the game, and it’s an amazing utility, but I really hated it at first. I like it more now after using it for a while, but I’d still have preferred he got something else.
