Genji’s lore is pretty limited by itself and it’s clear, that Zen is kind of supporting character for him. Wait for Genji lore and you’ll probably get something for Zen.

As has been said on the page about Hanzos lore, both hanzo and Zenyatta are props for genjis story from what we can tell so far.

Exactly. Even with Mercy a huge chunk of her lore is Genji.

Come to think of it outside of her stuff with genji I dont really know anything about Mercy either- i’m gonna brush up!

Character bios: Everything we know about Zen and we know more about Mondatta and shambali from Zen’s bio than bout Zen himself

Comic: N/A, one panel in xmas comic

Lore tweets: N/A, only Michael chu insert on forums about Zen has been “Tekhartha is a title”

Map details: Zenyatta doesn’t seem to live/have lived in Nepal or anywhere else unlike Genji

Michael Chu has confirmed that Genji still has a functioning “Lower half”. That has more lore than anything Zenyatta has

They just confirmed Sojiro Shimada is the one narrating the dragons short too. Two dead guys now have more lore appearances than Zen has. =p

Edit: Make it 3 since there’s that Vialli guy too from Masquerade confirmed dead. Antonio is not 100% confirmed dead.

He is. In the epilogue of Retribution, MCree says “Our target was dead”. In the Venice Memorandum released as part of Retribution, it states:

Upon confronting the subject, Reyes fired a single shot, killing Antonio At this time.

He is dead.

I didn’t say it was canon haha. But vaguely hinting/referencing canon.

I want Zen to have a shady past, as impossible as that seems right now.

Hes just there to lecture people right now and say incredibly vague things. Heck even that bucket of bolts that our widow popped one between the eyes was more relevant to the plot. Give the man more lore!
